The subject of where we all are came up on Elsa's Questions thread.  I suggested it might be fun to have a map of Elsa regulars.  A quick google search and I found Map me and set up a map for us.

Please feel free to add yourself and upload a picture from your part of the world or of yourself.  You do have to create an account there but it's a really short process.  Just name and password and you're in.   

I added myself.  No picture yet, but I promise I'll get one tomorrow (weather permitting).

It kind of irks me that I distinctly put my marker in South Charleston, WV but the site insists it's Cross Lanes, which is not only on the wrong side of the river but, like, at least 15 miles away.  *laughs*

Yeah, I'm in Denton and its claiming that I'm in Krum.  What a dumb name for a town...Krum.

Yep it is saying I am from Wasilla!!!! LOL NO Anchorage,lol. Palin is from Wasilla!!! :P

When I worked for a busy medical practice, one of my favorite patient names was Bunn Krum, Jr.  Not just because it's fun to say, but he's a junior!  There are two of them potentially out and about!  *gniftyparties*

It was easy peasy Elsa.  There is an option for putting it on your website if you want.  I'll see if I can figure out how to give you mod privileges so you have access.

Dorothy and Moonpluto, you can click "edit map" above the list of our names and then "Add Hotspot".  A section will pop up and you select a marker for yourself from the orange teardrop shaped flags and type in your location. 

Those who are more shy are welcome to choose a large city in their region or something to maintain greater anonymity here.  :)  I just think it's fun to know what part of the world everyone is from. 

It's great to see the pics and personalities where you can just scroll...

Lupa, this is so cool and very fun!  It's really nice to see everyone's geography, and also know that everyone meets up in the same place.  Thanks for putting it together.  

I didn't  know miss was in  Alaska! She seems so warm, LOL. :-)

I think this will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of who is who.  I need visuals and something I can refer back to.  Gemini Mercury = not known for long attention span.  :)

And maybe I'll plan a road trip one day.

I was a little freaked about putting myself on this map, but I did it anyway.

So fun, Lupa!  I added myself.  Well, I'm not sure.  It said I did, but I do not see my own name or hotspot when I look on the map.  (jjpete)

Is there any way to add photos from your computer? I don't really have images online--the thought of another step and signing up for something else is too intimidating for me.

You have to create a hotspot first, then you can title it and add pics from your computer. I tried, but I don't think you can "see" all the members, only the ones who have created a hotspot...

I did that. Then clicked finish editing and see nothing. I'm about to have a tantrum..!!! why must I be so frigging inept with technology? WHY? UGH!

god, sorry I'm such a baby...added something, it's about a mile from where I want it. Tried to add an image and it won't let me, says 'you must be a member' even though I'm signed in..? Anyone have any suggestions?

No worries, I was pretty frustrated when I first signed up. Shit, firefox didn't even want to show the map at all! 

The first time I added a picture, it didn't show, so I added it (2 more times) and it still wasn't showing. Then a few minutes later the same picture was on there three times. Arg! I finally said screw it and deleted it and started over from the beginning. 

I think the website has issues with certain browsers, try chrome or IE or wyrdling said she used Flock which worked for her.
