My daughter insisted that the car have a name.  I thought the blue haired Simpson character was perfect inspiration for my (nearly) new little shiny chicken mobile.  It's been many many years since I had a shiny car.  The relief of knowing I am likely to arrive safely at my destination cannot be overstated.  I love this car so much. 

Oh, the astrology.  I bought this car on Monday, and drove home by the light of the full moon.  The full moon was exactly sextile my Gemini sun and lit up my 9th house.

The Atlanta metro area is not a place to be without a car.  I can get to and from work and get my kids safely to and fro.  *deep sigh*

I love the color SO much.  Sky blue because the dark clouds are moving ON.  The boys in my world (and a few of the girls) say it's an exceedingly girly color.  Hello!  I'm a girl.  :)  Happens to be a feature with some appeal to most of the guys I care about so don't be dissing my girliness.  :)

I've owned exactly one new off the lot car in my lifetime and there is a sensation/feeling it evokes that is unlike any other.

And the name Marge is so solid, dependable--with a quirky edge. I like it! :D

Marge is a 2010 Hyundai Accent.  She is tiny.  2 door hatchback.  7,000 miles.  She was a fleet car and still smells sort of newish.

My last two cars have been fleet cars. The cars had good care. Both are still running with over 100,000 miles on them. Both Nissan Altimas. We gave one to the daughter.

Hi Lupa, Marge is adorable and yes the color rocks.  How does one go about finding a fleet car? 

Hyundai is an impressive company. Best warranty "ever" from any manufacturer , especially how long it is. I think someone really did their homework , figured out just how many miles us Americans actually put on our cars in any given year.... and placed their warranty accordingly.

Nothing I hate more than "stinginess" (aka: like a Scrooge) in a warranty. *POOF* something goes wrong juuuust as the last day expires. Sears is famous for this.

@Daisy, the Lexington Nissan dealership buys fleet cars on occasion.  We watched his web site.

We once got an invitation to attend a fleet auction by the car rental place we used while my husband's car was undrivable.  We mentioned we were interested to the rental agency desk clerk.

I had a Sears auto battery that died within a week after the end of the warranty. It was Mercury retrograde.  I didn't have those problems when I drove a Mercury auto.

Daisy, I got this car at Carmax.  It was a really positive experience.  I haven't had a reliable car in more than ten years. 

I've always read that buying a new car when Mars is retro is a no-no. My own car was bought during a Mars retro in 2001 and finally died several days ago. I spent so much money on repairs over the years as the car was cursed with so many inexplicable issues. However, I'm now without a car because I refuse to buy one before this Mars retro phase is over in April.
