Any other Leos wondering what is going to be the effect on them when Mars visits Leo for oh about 8 months I think?  I am both anticipating it (have been fighting epstein barr for about 4 months, so looking forward to increased energy), and also a little leery - I can blow my stack pretty good without any help from Mars as it is.

I have Mars in Leo natally and uh, beats me. I'd like to think good things, but what with the Pluto transits I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I have Mars in Leo natally too. It is also my chart ruler. I'm not sure what to expect. Hopefully I make a damn decision about my career... Right now there are way too many opportunities popping up, I just don't know which one to take.

    Mars in Leo Oct 17, 2009 - June 9, 2010.

Thanks for the heads up, Dorothy, I did not realize this was coming up. :)

It will be kicking up my 10th house so maybe I'll get some work finally? Or at least will help me get my name out there!

And to answer the question... in my 7th, open enemies, LOL.

Actually Mars was in Leo for a number of months in 1995 (I remember because I was pregnant). It was pretty wicked, however age brings perspective and wisdom (hopefully)

Hmmm.... my Jupiter is in Leo, but then again my Moon is in Aquarius soo....... not sure. I have noticed that this "little" opposition between Uranus and Saturn has gotten a lot of people aggitated.

It'll mostly be in the 3rd house for me. I don't really know...

transiting my last half 1st and 1st half 2nd.  at some point opposing my saturn 8th

maybe I will finally be able to do something constructive about myself and feelings of self worth instead of just going freakazoid like I've been doing during the vs..

It could empower my creative self expression or make me very narcisstic and selfish? Hopefully Saturn on the other end will tame that.

or it could just be... hell i dunno... wait and see. should be a good one for the books though!

holy crap that's a lot of Leo! I'm not a Leo but it will be transiting my 8th House...at many points activating my Grand Fire Trine with Mars/Venus + Neptune.

I PLAN on getting laid as much as humanly possible, ha ha

I'm frankly looking forward to the transit.  It starts on my birthday, October 17.  My natal Mars is in Sagittarius and trines my Leo J in the 12th.  Plus, it's the domicile ruler of my chart ruler (Mercury in Scorpio), as well as my Moon/Saturn placements in Aries.

I was recently advised by a savvy observer of my chart that I actually benefit from activating my Mars in Sagittarius.  What the hell.  I've been thinking about my tendencies along that line.  For instance, I'm a competitive mother.  Sports were a big outlet when I was younger.

My fantasy nowadays is to make enough money off my writing so I can retire from corporate.  Then what I'd do is work on my projects in the morning and play golf in the afternoon.  Ideally, there would be some guys in the group who want to get a game up.  Lately, I've been remembering that I used to be good at cards.  I cycled out of playing cards when I sobered up a long time ago.  At the time, I needed to change my environment.  Now, though, I'm thinking about getting a card game going, maybe once a month.  I'll pick the people so I don't have frigging chaos at my house.

At any rate, it dawned on me that I do have Mars in Sagittarius tendencies.  I run at least three miles a day, even when I'm carrying extra weight.  I get over disputes pretty rapidly.

The only drawback I can see is that I'll have to watch my spending.  My tendencies there are toward luxury, and the Sadge Mars, Leo J combo might activate it.

And won't the extended Mars in Leo influence stimulate the economy? I'm thinking that the mood will be more uninhibited.  Therefore, people will spend more money.

I'm in the "I have no clue" boat, too.  *waves to Alicia and Miss*

It'll be mostly in my 2nd, cycling through opposing n. Moon and conjuncting n. Sun/Merc/Saturn (out of sign in Virgo).  Since my stated plan for the next year is to get my spark back, I think this will be highly beneficial!

Ive got natal Leo mars in the 12th.  Woo hoo! Crazy times dream theater here I come.  I'll probably just get into some heavy martian style escapism by killing tons of mans on Warcraft.

Hmm. I have Mars in Leo in the 2nd natally. I guess it's been good for me, because I have a lot of Cancer and some 12th house, so I'd probably be even more of a hermit were it not for that.

I'm applying for a job that is open until the end of October. Maybe Mars in Leo will help with that? Who knows. If not, I'll need to ride my bike a lot to use up that energy. Maybe I'll decorate my helmet so's I'll look all purty while I'm riding :)

I agree with Vicaris, in general I think Mars in Leo will be much more positive creative energy than mars in cancer. I'll be glad when mars leaves cancer. maybe its just power of suggestion from stuff I've read, but the energy just seems to be kind of yukky

In general with a Mars ruled chart, I'm not thrilled when Mars goes retrograde (which it does every couple of years - last time it was in Cancer, roughly the same general time period 07-08). This one will be entirely in my 9th house and periodically squaring my Scorpio stuff.

Going to do a "wait and see" with this transit.

Another Mars as chart ruler with Mars in Leo here.

This should be a welcome shot of energy (I have a Sun-Mars conjunction) that I desperately need with this Saturn-Uranus mess hanging around my Venus-Pluto.

Neith: Mars going retrograde is not fun at all. I have a Mars-ruled chart as well... NATALLY on RETROGRADE! Yikes! Let me tell you it's hard to actually start DOING something because a lot of the action is going on in my head as opposed to "outward."

    Lunalie,

Let me tell you it's hard to actually start DOING something because a lot of the action is going on in my head as opposed to "outward."

That's it exactly! My Mars is in the 12th and it acts the same way sometimes. Then there are others when my cardinal Sun & Moon (Libra) kick in and all you see is dust . . .

Hey Lunalie, I have the same problem.  I was hoping this transit might get me moving a bit more...sure hope so.

Yuck. I don't want  Mars in my 12th house for that long... esp in opposition to Neptune. I do NOT like that opposition.... BUT if it spends a bunch of time on my venus (26 degrees Leo) maybe something INTERESTING will happen of a certain martian/venusian nature....

playing ball with my saturn... 11th/12th house.

sounds about right.  backtracking and giving me an opportunity to get going on the leo stuff i squashed with my saturn.

er, i wonder how the little leo is going to do. probably get even more energized ;) 12th and first house for him...
