Quite a lot hahaha! Several of my main men have had Mars in Pisces, and not one of them has been a wimp in any way - all are Alpha Males and have been very successful. None lacks or lacked courage in the least - in fact all are famous for the courage allied to imagination, with which they've made their choices. And they always but always get/got their way, largely through charm and an appeal to the emotions of others
The Italian - A maverick through and through. Joined the Resistance in WWII in Milan at 19, and spent 18 months in Matthausen, one of the worst of the German concentration camps. He survived by cunning, charm, skill, some Mars, and sheer bloody-minded will-power - and was part of the faction which kept messing with the Germans even in the camp, risking sudden death every day. The rest of his life was bravely led, as you would imagine: he made every moment count after such a brush with death
The Artist - Always a rebel. Having escaped his immensely privileged home in his teens, joined the Merchant Navy in WWII rather than return there. Bravely refused to follow any conventions in art or in life and followed his own star, famously and utterly. Mega-serious gambler: I'm talking huge sums here. After a mid-life of relative obscurity, on his death last year he was feted as our coutry's greatest artist, and every obit referred to his virility and to his huge courage (happy to give the name via pm but not here where it can be googled)
The Man - Similarly, rebel to the core: never followed any convention from schooldays onwards. School boxing Champ, won every prze going. Drove alone across America aged 17; has always only worked for himself, backing his own taste, skills and cunning. Now worth a few million! Has never compromised nor aquiesced, either in his personal or his professional life. Very courageous in his life choices, and in his sex life; lives life on the edge, always.
ETA All three of these men are or were seductive to an insane degree; all had or have multiple women whom they've kept in their lives over many years. And all used their seductive skills in their profession, very successfully indeed
And ruth has Mars in Pisces - she's no wimp either, as I can vouch, knowing a little of her life and times outside the boards!
No you won't know what they are up to - exercising their seductive powers included! Mars in Pisces does value its own privacy to an extreme extent - that was definitely something all three of those men had in common. The two most extreme had very strong Pluto mind you ;)
But all three were searingly honest about their own sexual and emotional nature, and very conscious of it, and the need to be so. All three are very 'male', very yang, too - esp the Italian - but very deeply in touch with their feminine side, which was a large part of the seductiveness of course (for me esp - I loathe macho men)
I have Merc/Mars in Pisces. I don't think I'm a wimp but that's supported by the rest of my chart. I do have trouble recognizing anger as anger, though.
I have always gotten my way but I've always attributed it to all the trines in my chart. My pisces is what I feel I know the least about.
Mars in Pisces?
A fighter (Mars) who fights for their beliefs and/or religion (Pisces)? Don't sound wimpy to me!
I have Mars in Pisces (19 degrees), conjunct Saturn (@17) & Mercury (@18)
I think part of the "wimp" factor is attributed to our Peace keeping ways... we'd rather solve something amicably than go to War over it & we take time in working it out, so this can be perceived as inaction.
Also, there is not much of a Rule Book, or typical MO... different tactics & measures are used "creatively", depending on a specific situation. Fluid! Often, there simply isn't a "game plan", we make it up as we go along, so there's not much to talk about along the way & therefor, little drum banging ![]()
Being secretive isn't for the reasons many perceive it to be, it's just a way of maintaining space. It takes up a lot of energy to defend your stance, so you play your cards close to your chest & then there is no need.
The down side, as far as I'm concerned, is finding motivation in the first place & then sticking to something. Unless extremely passionate about it, maintaining any sort of discipline is almost impossible. It's perpetual hard work & exhausting.
Pisces Mars is made of elastic... there is no such thing as a straight beam. We are oft accused of being duplicitous because of this... well... so be it!
This is how I see it, anyway =)
I'm dating a guy who has Pisces Mars. Ain't nothing wimpy about him, in fact he can see something that I can't see. You know the undercurrents. Super hot!
maintaining any sort of discipline is almost impossible
Not in my experience of Mars in Pisces, so I guess that depends on other aspects than the placement itself
All three of the above men are or were pretty workaholic and none has or had any problem disciplining themselves where their work was concerned. The Artist especially is famed for the discipline and rigor of his regime: he worked right up till he could no longer hold a brush. The Italian followed through on everything and was always busy - the Man ditto, though he plays harder than the other two. Not when there's work to be done though!
ETA I just read the first link below - not sure how I missed that thread, as I have Mars in Cancer! I can confirm that none of my Mars in Pisces men had a victim complex in the slightest! - quite the reverse ;)
Believe me, these people are anything but wimps! I wouldn't call my hubs or Mr. Cap wimps. They both have Mars in Pisces, as does the baby Scorpio. Nobody pushes that kid around!
What they are good at is pushing until there aren't any boundaries left. Remember, this group all has Venus/Pluto as well. You may recall that I have a hell of a time keeping kid stuff contained? That their mess spreads from one room to all over the house? That's Mars in Pisces!
The BIL who's pushed around by his wife also has this...Mars in Pisces opposite Pluto in Virgo. I still can't figure out why he handed his balls to her. That's the stereotype, but he definitely tried to dissolve boundaries...
BTW, it was the Mars in Pisces hubs who came up with the idea that Mommy shouldn't have her own personal space. How Mars in Pisces is that? And the two Mars in Pisces kids took it to heart and barge into my room whenever they feel like it.
When I yell "Get out!", they scratch their heads. Mars (theirs) opposite Mercury (mine).
I think Mars is Pisces is seen as wimpy because the whole perception of the Piscean energy is wimpy, yin equals to wimpy in most people's minds. I don't know any Mars in Pisces people, but I've met Pisceans who can move mountains and I've met Pisceans who can give Scorpio a run for their money.
A fish is a fish and so is a shark :)
Seeing the title of this thread made me think of a core belief of mine : "Water always wins." Can anyone think of any substance that does not eventually yield to water, when it is applied ? Mars/Pisces would exemplify the deliberate application of the qualities of water, yes ?
What they are good at is pushing until there aren't any boundaries left
Heheheh, yep - that rings true for the guys I've known with this placement - very true indeed! I've never seen MinP that way before, so thanks LisLioness for that insight: it was one of those lighbulb moments for me
My sister has Mars in Pisces. She has a hard time sticking to things. But she's very committed to her passion for dance. Has been dancing since she was a child - jazz, ballet, modern, and flamenco.
She's shy but she's not a wimp. She doesn't let anyone walk all over her. She's very conscious of her personal boundaries and doesn't stoop to petty behavior.
Mars is in her first house and she's an Aries Sun, so that plays into what I described above.
My father has Mars in Pisces and the torrential power of his emotional reactions sure as hell kept us kids in line. My Mars in Pisces sister used to rock the walls with her rages, too. Definitely not wimpy when they really get riled up about something. Tsunamis come to mind... Good luck stopping them!
My son has Mars in Pisces so it will be interesting to see how it plays out for him as he grows up.
I'm trying to get him to learn to identify the emotions that he is feeling.. like fear... or frustration or anxiety.. and deal with them appropriately.. rather than let them come out as anger.

Conversation about Mars in Pisces broke out here - http://boards.elsaelsa.com/topic/we-need-a-colosseum-idea/page/2 after someone dissed Mars in Pisces. Many jumped in but I think the topic deserves it's own thread.
One of my husband's had Mars in Pisces and he was an expert rock climber, ice climber, kayak-er and an extreme skier on top of that. He was worshiped (Pisces) for his prowess (Mars). Not by me but by Coloradans who are into this stuff. He was the God of his clique. He was also a seductive son of a bitch and I didn't necessarily know it was happening, though I wondered.
What do you know about Mars in Pisces?
