Mega-stellums

Have you ever examined someone's chart and found that they had stellums in two signs or even all planets in the same sign (I've never seen one of the latter.)

I do know a guy that has a Libra Stellum, a Sagittarius stellum and Jupiter in Scorpio. That's it. Well, aside from Cancer rising if you count rising signs.

He likes biking and math and music and he's a bit of an intellectual snob to put it mildly, but if I didn't know his chart, I'd never have guessed it.

Want to share your tales of Mega-Stellums? Or a whole lot of a single element or sign? And if two people with similar loads get together, does that make the relationship lopsided?

    Hi Beth,

Well, this isnt exactly on target. But I have seen one chart with stellium in Sag and Aquarius rising with Mars in pisces 1st house intercepted.  In my opinion, he is very "unteachable" really self-focused and despite the sag, fixed and stubborn.  weird.

I did a baby chart with a stellium but that one is still in the cooker...

Like the example you gave. I wouldnt see math, music or intellectual snob just in what you put out there.

I guess it all goes back to holistic chart reading and individual free will and choice.

My friend D has 7 planets (and I do mean planets, not secondary stuff) in Leo. It's the most I have personally encountered. He does have a giant heart, but he also likes to take and hold center stage.

Yeah. It's interesting to look at, but if their big planetary wads don't jibe with your chart, it's tough sledding. :) Gives you only a couple languages to speak with them in, which I find constricting. But that's just my experience.

I kinda like somebody to be a little more spread out, have a little of this and that, if I'm going to build my perfect human. OTOH, perfect human is oxymoronic. You takes 'em as you gets 'em.

Beth, there was this child-rapist once that had 8 SCORPIO PLACEMENTS in him! It was written by the wife of the child rapist. I can't find the article because it was about 4 years ago, but it was interesting!

The thing with tightly wadded charts is that 1) it makes for "pockets of intense energy" and 2) when a transit hits those pockets, watch out, because so much is impacted all at once.

I just remembered my fiancee's son has such a chart. The poor "kid" (soon to be 24) has pretty much been under Pluto transit since birth. Luckily for him, it should FINALLY be "over" come January.

    Basic setup:

    * ASC-Mars-Pluto conjunct in 1st (so, early in 1st).

    * Then as Pluto was transiting through the rest of his 1st house, it was hitting another (4-part) stellium across his chart, by opposition.

    * Then Pluto directly hit his main (6-planet) stellium: 4 planets in 2nd house and 2 in early 3rd house.

We hope he comes out the Phoenix rising, but that is not clear at the moment.

The stellium I'm thinking of was this kitchen manager I worked with who had four or five planets (including sun) in Sadge.  We got on swimmingly.  She picked up on it early that she could lock and load with just about any kind of ridiculous commentary.  She was in her late 20's at the time but felt that she needed to date older men.  I asked her if this was because she overwhelmed guys her own age.  The answer was pretty much yes.  She bowled you over.

She eventually got in a disagreement with the owner and skedaddled.  I haven't seen her for a while.

I can't remember who it was, but someone here once let me see their chart and there was, like, 6 or 7 Scorp planets.  I was blown away!  First time I'd ever seen something like that.

The guy I'm seeing has stelliums in Scorp, Pisces, and Virgo, with one Leo planet and one Sag planet (which, since I'm not too sure of his birth time, could also be Scorp. *lol*).  Quite interesting, but since Neptune's transiting his angles everything's getting hit, so verrrry slippery.  Can't get a bead on him to save my life.

My chart only covers 3 houses (4th, 5th and 6th).

I have a stellium in Sagittarius with 5 planets there including my Sun.

This is the chart of one of my former managers.

Birth time is unknown, but look where the moon ended up with a noon placement:

I know people with stelliums in Leo(including Venus-Mars)

     and Aries(again including Mars-Venus)

They seem to attract people with loads of insecurities or people that lost their fire somewhere!

    I have stellium in Sagittarius

I have one in Virgo and one in Libra, both with 3 planets.

Except for Saturn, every planet falls in the 5th, 6th or 7th houses.

I've had major Pluto transits, either conjunctions or squares, since I was young.

My daughter, almost 8, has 4 planets in Sag.

There are mega Caps around, but they're still in their teens.  They were born in the mid 90s.

If I recall right, I saw a New Moon chart drawn up at that time, and everything save for Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto was in Cap.

Chamirose- well Libra governs proportion, so that would cover both math and music. Lots of air and fire- intellectual snob sometimes.

LisLioness- it'll be interesting to see the Mega Caps growing up.

I bet your daughter is a ball of fire!

It looks like lots of people on here have bundle charts. I have one too, from Leo to Sag, with a stellum in Libra.

I know a guy who has almost all of his planets in Aquarius (dear lord, he's hard to deal with), and a guy with stelliums in Pisces and Virgo. He hasn't had it easy either.

A mega stellium would have to have 5 planets or more for me to call it a MEGA STELLIUM. And 6 if better!

Right, Toni. I should have called this thread "Extreme bunched-up charts."

Interesting thread Beth.  I have 5 planets in my 8th house in Virgo.  Then my Sun is also in my 8th H but in Leo. Then my son has 4 planets and the north node in Scorpio in the 6th house so there's the 8th house and Scorpio connection for us. And the 6th house Virgo connection, just transverse.

I've got 4 planets in Virgo and a Gemini moon, my husband has 5 planets in Virgo, and my daughter has 3 in Virgo with Jupiter and Chiron in the 6th. We've all got Scorpio to a lesser extent.

This translates to you're never quite sure what's going to come out of someone's mouth over here...

My partner has a mega stellium on Libra, three planets in Scorpio (though not conjuncting each other - except his sun and mercury), two in Sag. and his moon in Leo.

Funny how you mentioned, beth that this friend of yours likes to bike and is an intellectual. So does my partner! :)  I do find that with him, he doesn't have this Scorpio "amputation" habit because of all the Libra in his chart. He's never cut off a friend in his life before no matter how bad they've treated him! Well, it works out for him though... I guess for people like me, amputation of people are necessary if push comes to shove.

Yeah, Lunalie, mine's like that too- he can't stand to see any relationship cut off, though he does avoid people sometimes. He also doesn't get visibly angry much at all, which disturbs me a little.

My fiance's chart has always fascinated me - all ten planets are in three houses. None aspect Asc, none aspect chiron or north node (the only three elements not involved in the bunch-up).

He has Venus-Moon-Sun in virgo (VM and MS conjunct) all in the fourth, Merc-Sat-Pluto conjunct in the fifth all in Libra - with Jupiter in Scorp in 5th, Mars-Uranus conj Scorp in 6th plus Neptune near the descendent.

I find him fascinating but incredibly (annoyingly) dogmatic.

I have four planets in Leo with three in Cappy and Venus in Virgo. I enjoy planning things.. sometimes to an obsessive amount.

Beth: mine has a temper but it only comes out on very rare occasions. He hasn't unleashed his temper on me at all because I haven't done anything to really deserve it. He also has really solid boundaries so that's pretty good. The only thing I find is that he doesn't really want to cut off anyone even when this person has hurt him a lot. Sometimes it boggles me but I guess that's just how he works.

my mother made a lot more sense to me last time i looked at her chart (for the board post about one's parents) and went... oh.  four planets in... cancer!  *sigh*

it's amazing how much more i absorb from elsa than i did from all those astrology books i read.

My sister has sun, moon, mars, Uranus all in 11H Scorpio right on top of each other.  She's got Mercury and Pluto next to them in 10H Libra and has Venus/Neptune/Ascendant in Sag.

I have four in Virgo + MC in the 10th house and why I am not a mega millionaire yet confounds me. :(

Hoping Pluto in Cap will help a wheat carrier out. :)

My brother has a very unusual and intense chart solely consisting of three stelliums. One in first house Cancer with Moon-Jupiter-Chiron, one in Scorpio in Fifth with Sun-Pluto-Mercury with Mars next door in 4th house (still in Scorpio), and one in Seventh house Capricorn with Venus-Saturn-Neptun-Uranus.

He's got a whole lot of energy there that I can't quite fathom, and he's a bit of a puzzle to the family too. He's intellgient but doesn't seem to have a great degree of common sense and struggles to get very far in normal society or day to day life without a push or help from the rest of the family.

Has anyone else seen anything like that before, with all planets effectively in a stellium of some kind?

I'm kinda one here two there, but my oldest daughter has 5 planets and the noth node in the 7th,

4 are in Gemini and the 5th hanging down to make it into Taurus. She is a Scorpio asc  with pluto in the first and an a 5th house Aries moon. Pretty amazing girl.

My son  has four in Sag. in the fourth and Sun Merc. in Capricorn in the 5th... determination to be a happy artist.  As his Sag planets are moon pluto chiron venus.. he needs all that determination, because for him feeling secure takes work

i looked at my friends' daughters' chart the other day.. six planets between Capricorn and Aquarius.

three in each of her 1st and 12th houses. It's going to be all transformation all the time for quite a while.. she is 10.
