So... using equal houses (which I've gotten fond of), I have Aries on the 10th cusp.  I know this isn't the same as the literal astronomical point of the midheaven where I was born... 6 Pisces.   I can find transit reasons to say that 6 Pisces is significant to my career.  However, the *idea* of Aries vs. Pisces ruling my midheaven seems extremely different to me.

I'm not looking for absolute answers here, just curious if anyone wants to weigh in with experience one way or another.  What do YOU think about the sign on your Midheaven (if you've ever given it a second thought)?

I am a cap rising, so the cusp of my 10th is Libra.

My Midheaven is in Scorpio.

The cusp of my 10th is pisces and my midheaven is aquarius.   I haven't given it much thought, but it is the same sign as my moon, so I think in my chart they kina work together.  I could be wrong though.

Cool, I figured most people not living at the equator or whatever have a similar situation.  So Elsa and miss, which sign do you think flavors your career the most?

(I didn't mean my MC moved, I just meant that certain transits hitting 6 Pisces made me think that point was particularly significant to my career.) 

Jessica, I relate to both. You see my midheaven / 10th house on this blog, it's my public image. The Neptune in Scorpio is pretty obvious but so is Libra.

I mean  I am pretty even-handed / diplomatic. I am the hostess here... the controlling (Cardinal) hostess who went you get right down to it is damned fair and considerate of the the other party...

Yep, I see both from you, but you have planets in both signs too!  I am still trying to wrap my head around having a Pisces public image.  I'm so Cardinal, and have planets in Aries, that I can't quite grok this.  I'm sure others do, including the legions of Pisces that surround me.  But wow. :: scratches head::

I have Black Moon Lilith at 29 Pisces (i.e. smack at the top of my chart).

This may say something about my public image.  

Jessica, with Elsa’s security ideas alive today (1, 4, 7, 10) I was also thinking  about the 10th and midheaven  - I have Mars conjunct MC in Cancer  trine  Neptune in Scorpio and Chiron in Pisces ….all  my work  has been Cancerian  in nature…. I notice I also have Lilith in the 10 but in Leo there…I'm relatively new to more in depth  astro…not sure what that might signify …I’ll give it a look….thanks for thread/ideas

So what kind of Cancerian work do you do (if you don't mind sharing)? 

I just checked my chart and I too have Lilith in the 10th in aries, I also have saturn in aries, and chiron at 29degrees pisces there. My mc is in aquarius and I can see that for my career, I am a hairdresser and I also own the shop.  The saturn in aries is opposed my mars in libra in the 6th, I am a hard worker and seem to do more work than everyone else.  The pisces aspect I can see in how I interact with clients it seems we do alot of psychotherapy during the hair dos,lol.  The aquarian mc maybe manifests in how I look or present myself, people always are curious about my style or my hair or they want their bangs or something like mine,hmmm.  I will have to think more on this.

hi jessica...most of my work has been with children, teaching...but i also worked in a number of museums, two of them historical...one was a historic boat, so i was on the water there...earlier on i spent a summer cleaning cottages on a beach  - (was i a crab that summer!) ......i'm contemplating the effect of mars and lilth in my 10 house..

Now you've got me thinking about midheaven/career-- mine is gemini. And I write (it's my identity and everything else) although my daily living is otherwise. I wonder if we catch up to our midheavens? I have no planets in gemini....
Perhaps the gemini reflects all the different things I've done, but then again I feel that's more 6th house--

hi moonpluto, no, I didn't answer yet because I still can't get a good handle on it.  I've never had a job in, say, music or the arts, but considering I have Neptune in the 6th I'm not sure why this is....  I have no planets in Pisces either, so I agree with you, I kind of can't *feel* my MC.

oh wait, I have had jobs in the arts!  but pretty much only non-paying jobs!  This is all making sense...imaginary jobs. :)  my current career is technically in the design field, although in the past it's been more information tech and grunt work than the artistic aspect of design, but maybe it's moving more in a design-oriented direction.  food for thought.

er, perhaps Pisces on the MC explains my fuzzy memory of what I've done for a living. ;) 

anyway, thank you very much Lindsey... my career is very Mercury-ruled and that suits me, but the nature of this specific new job I guess is Pisces in that I work at home (or anywhere I want) and I only have contact with all my co-workers via the computer... it's a little hologram and I sort of don't exist anywhere.   Everything you listed definitely sounds like a good use of your crab energy.

but as far as having a Pisces or Aries public image, I'm still stumped.   I guess all the fishies that surround me and like me may be responding to that Pisces banner I'm waving.  Now I can't figure out the Aries part.  I do gravitate to being in charge, but I can explain that elsewhere with all my Cardinal planets.

moonpluto...no. i am so not serious it isn't even funny. i worked as a bicycle messenger off and on for the last 12 years, during the "off times" i worked as a server and traveled a lot...europe, asia, india, middle east...

right now i'm working one day a week at the courier company that has employed me since 2001 and am attending art college full time. when school's out in may i'll likely be a messenger again until august.

i also have a manuscript that has been sitting on my lap top since 2005. writing is my first love and art is a close second. i just scored a commission for my first client to do a painting. i was doing thai massage and reiki but had to abandon it as i was dreaming too much about clients i had worked on and had to take a break while i figured out where my boundaries are. 

my uranus/midheaven is in scorpio, and i guess with pluto in the 10th (square cap moon) i can put on a good game face at looking serious, lol.

i do see a future in helping other people heal through art. i'm thinking about going into teaching art. i;m very bad at following a straight line, tho...

Jessica, I can see how working alone in a job that isn't defined would be both aries and pisces.

For me, I have a leo 10th and MD with my sun in the 12th, and I am a video editor working behind the scenes in a performance field. Ideally I'd love to edit films, although tend to work more in tv post production.

I have a Capricorn MC located in my 9th. It is squared by my Aries sun (12th) and by Pluto in Libra (7th), sextiled by Mercury in Pisces in 11th, Trined by Chiron (2nd house Taurus), Saturn (6th house Virgo) and Venus (2nd house Taurus) and opposed by my Moon in Cancer 4th house.

I was a web designer, but contrary to what most think, I did not enjoy my job (I know, what a shame!). I'm trying to find out which career is best suited for me. I'm really hoping after my 2 weeks of rigorous career testing and exploration, I will find something fruitful.  

Hey guys My 10th house cusp is Pisces as well as My Midheaven being in Pisces.

I have Mars in the 10 but, in Aries. My Neptune sextiles my midheaven as well as my Uranus and my Pluto in Scorpio trines my Midheaven.

I have a Grand trine Including my midheaven in Pisces,Jupiter in Cancer in the 1st and Pluto in Scorpio in the 5th.

My Moon in Pisces in the 9th house is Conjunct my Midheaven.

Hmm I am pretty young so I don't know much about what may happen in terms of my career. I do know that My Moon being conjunct the midheaven and in Mutual reception to my Jupiter have a great affect on my career if I use the beautiful qualities of it.

I once had a job going aat $50 an hour for playing for a priest who was becoming a Bishop I think?:P

I guess The ruling planet of My Midheaven being Neptune AND Being my Most Dominant planet shows all of the psychic activities being active in my career.
