Mooncakes
posted 1 year ago in Lounge
CocoPeaches, I know some Vietnamese friends who celebrate this every September. I've ate Mooncakes before and they're absolute delicious!
Nothing like a Mooncake on a cool September night.
I've only seen PICTURES of mooncakes on FACEBOOK! LOL
maybe someday I'll get the real deal experience...
Mooncakes are EVERYWHERE in Toronto right now. I work with a pack of Asian folk...I'm sure a pile of mooncakes are going to show up in the office in a few days.
And I like some mooncakes...just depends on what's inside of them. I've had my fair share of lovely mooncakes mixed in with downright odd ones (salted duck egg & red bean paste? Weird!).

hey y'all :)
does anyone know about Moon Festival in Chinese/Vietnamese culture? Looks like there's a lot of legend behind the tradition, and I'm wondering if anybody has some insight into the stories.
