I have looked at mine and my mom's and noticed that her Cancer Saturn squares my Aries Saturn and my Virgo Pluto opposes her Pisces Mars. I also noticed that my north node in Taurus is conjunt her Sun. My Chiron is Pisces is conjucnt her Mars as well. We get along well now but growing up our relationship was a struggle and she was overly controlling of her children. Being a Gemini I off course wanted total freedom but we both value things differently , it isn't good or bad it just is.
huh. my mother's eigth house stellium (uranus/venus/mercury/jupiter) squares my eighth/second house opposition.
her moon/pluto conjunction opposes my moon, conjunct my saturn.
we, uhm... provoke each other... to grow ?(er, moreso the last lately...)
there's trines and sextiles, too, but her stellium placement really jumped out at me the first time i looked at the synastry.
Also realized my last two romantic interests were with Libra North Node and she too was Libra North Node. Very odd.
Miss I am curious what you wrote about Gemini: wanting total freedom. So Mars in Gemini wants total sexual freedom?
I agree Wyrdling: the moon/pluto/saturn/moon combo really jumps out... I'm still thinking about all this this morning... i'm sure there is more to discover...
Hmmm I could see a Mars in Gemini wanting freedom in the sexual arena, maybe they get bored.
My mom's Taurus Sun is slow and steady and mine is fliting here there and everywhere, lol.I could see her irritation in that haha.
wow, m.p. what a gift to have her chart! There are some interesting aspects between my mum and I. I don't know her birthtime/ASC. But we have the following:
-both of us have NN in Libra, 4 degrees apart (I used to think it was the same degree but it isn't)
-Her Mercury in Pisces sq. my 12th House Neptune
-Her Chiron in Cancer opp. my Moon
-My Chiron/Mercury conjunction. sq. her Pluto, and conjunct her natal Saturn in Taurus
-My Sun conjunct her Uranus in Taurus...and our Uranus are opposed
I have been my mum's confidante since I was small (about 10, probably younger). Through her I learned a lot about the value of spirituality and psychological self-enquiry. I used to hate her and ran away from home when I was 16 (she's never recovered from that--I hurt her deeply. She was suicidal after I left, which was kind of crazy because so was I). We get along well now, it's a very intense relationship but I've learned to deal with it the best way I can.
my mother also has an 8th venus, same as current/on again/off again b/f. Very odd..........
i don't know her birthtime, btw, used noon... and moon in taurus, for her, fits -- the sweetness of moon in taurus... i'm also very drawn to that placement --
hm...if I use noon for my mum, she has Jupiter conjunct Sun in Aries/9th House, which totally fits as she was (until the death of her own mother when I was 20) a religious fundamentalist.
my best friend in HS was a Virgo with Moon in Taurus. She was a beautiful soul.

I looked up my mother's chart a while ago, but wasn't sure of the year.... tonight my uncle, he brother, gave me the year and wow it makes sense but kind of spooky. She's been gone a long time and our relationship was intense/complicated but also lots of love there.
But the most remarkable things to me were that: her Mars Saturn conjunction in Gemini squares my Moon Pluto conjunction in Virgo. Yikes yikes yikes and yeah makes sense. I read that one over and it makes me almost fall over: what a harsh harsh energy pattern, esp between mother and child! Mars/Saturn vs. Moon/Pluto.
Also, her Venus is conjunct my Uranus in Libra. I think she did love the original in me.... encouraged it (to the detriment of the practical, perhaps).
Anyone else make such discovers late in life -- meaning, the parent or person is gone and you hadn't looked this stuff up in much detail before and then WOW.
It wasn't all "scary" though -- she was Scorpio sun/Taurus moon so we have a bunch of trines/sextiles etc... it's the challenging aspects though that of course stand out.
