It makes me wonder how some of these companies will recover from the bleeding.

Just a couple days ago there was a LivingSocial deal, $20 for a one year home delivery, Sunday only, of the local paper. How in the world does that work for the company or the paper delivery person? There is no way they are making any money at all on that deal. The regular price is $96 and even at that price truly cannot imagine how they justify delivering papers.

News in the future will be nothing but goddamned tweets.
As a former newspaperwoman, this makes me sick.

That is an amazing statistic. I can't imagine how the industry is going to pull out of this. People are disgusted with the product for one thing. And now there's no money to pay for decent reporting, provided you can find someone who knows what that is.
