I'm in the opposite boat as you, my NN is in Leo (SN in Aquarius). I don't have any other planets in Leo, the whole idea is foreign to me, but then again I think that's the point of the north node (it's not supposed to be comfortable or understandable).
However, I have the Moon in Cancer, like your NN, so I'm absolutely comfortable with all things Cancerian...hiding my emotions, nurturing others before myself, and enjoying the comforts of home. :)

Check out this website, I recently went searching through it to learn more about my nodes, and found it really helpful.
Enjoy! :)
Hm. Well, my version of nurturing (Sag moon) is to loan out a lot of my books. Or run around doing stuff with people and talking. Maybe you don't HAVE to make everyone a nice hot dinner at home every night followed by sitting on the couch until bed in order to stereotypically nurture?
Jenfullmoon is on to something, Whosthatlady, maybe a look at the house of the NN would help with the nurture "how"?
I agree- knowing the house would help.
Also, think of Mother Theresa. She travelled and she helped feed people by calling attention to their problems. Not sure if she could be called Cancerian in any way, but the act of getting people food could be considered Cancerian. Not that you have to be mother Theresa or go the extreme altruism route, but maybe learning and teaching about Cancerian topics is something appropriate
NN is hard to get to, so I empathize with you. Sometimes I feel it's a little bit like Saturn -- not in terms of effects of transits but in terms of life lessons.... If it were easy, it wouldn't be the NN....
It's part of your job in this lifetime to figure it out, by sign and house, and what it means for you. If you can master some of those cancerian positive traits and lessons, it will be wonderful
Nurturing, compassion, sensitivity, intuition....... Sensitivity with a capital S.....
Making a home for yourself/others wherever you go, being a mother (your own kids or mothering someone or something, someone/something you love), giving birth/creativity
Could be a project, a work of art, anything, but it's about giving life and seeing that life through
My sister has NN in cancer - when she gets to the point where she can nurture, it's amazing. It's not natural to her
Wow...you guys are great. Thank you so much for this info. I can't tell you how difficult it is for me lately...balancing my world ambition with tenderness and sensitivity.
I constantly beat myself up for being too rigid with getting work done (I'm a producer) and yet wanting to be there for my friends and family. Not having any patience what so ever is hard too...I love knowing this is my soul purpose makes so much sense! Also I read somewhere that goofiness is involved with NN Cancers..ha, I'm the first to strip down when it rains to dance around like a crazy woman...and I'm the first to suggest going to the local school to swing on the swings like a kid.
And after dancing in the rain maybe you'll be the first to put a towel around a shivering friend-- NN in Cancer. It's your destiny to blend who you are now and what needs to be integrated-- (sorry if that was redundant)
You can't work 24/7... Did you already say what house the NN is in?
I feel for your conflict though. Sag mixed with Cancer must be odd like feeling there's an alien in your body. But still it's part of you. At least this was my experience with a cap friend who had sag moon. She gave me a thicker skin and I gave her more sensitivity--
Did you ever see that movie Auntie Mame? (The Rosalind Russell version.)

That's what I think about when I think of Sag/Cancer.
LOVE Auntie Mame. you're a producer and the majority of your energy is spent in work? nurturance doesn't have to be to individuals. you could feed larger groups through your work, maximizing your energy. is it possible you're already doing that?
You don't necessarily have to be a nurturer. Look at your own mom and figure out what are the qualities you admire most about her, find inspiration there.
