Know anyone like this? I know several people who have electronics break around them or like in the soldier's case, he can't keep a watch for more than 2 days because they just stop working on his wrist (he's got a pocket watch).

I know an astrologer who has weird stuff happen around her and every time I talk to her I my phone won't hang up. I mean, eventually it will but it acts strange - won't disconnect.

satori is another one, maybe she'll tell you.

     Any idea what this is?

Elsa, I am one of those.  And it always happens during what seems to be the most fateful moments in my life, and is always a part of some larger event of synchronicity.  I would elaborate, but frankly, it can be embarrassing and it makes me feel insane sometimes.

I'm one of these people.  In the last 3 places I've lived in, ranging from 1920s to brand new construction, I have an unfortunate effect on lightbulbs.  Not only do they burn out, they often explode.  This happens no matter the bulb type, including last-forever fluorescents.  I buy bulbs in bulk and still go through them so rapidly that there are always dark areas around.  I also get weird shocks off of items that aren't plugged in and  my electronics "curse" is so legendary now that people are afraid for me to touch their computers.  I've had a power expert check the wiring in these places, but nothing's amiss.

I swear that I read something here on your site once, a while back, that clued me in to the astrology that linked with it, but it's escaping me now.

    this happens to me.

i once made a juke box come on with the magic words "does the jukebox work while the t.v's on?"

it started playing all by itself - i wish to god I'd remembered the tune.

it was just after my dad died and there was alot of weight in my voice, I remember really feeling smooth emotions in the words. maybe it was him?

but normally I just fuck things up.

    uranian ?

I've uranus rising in scorp12 square saturn.

and a whole load of neptune contacts.

I always thought i was one of them but i wonder if it's possible to grow out of it? My computers always broke/stopped working. Cell phones have problems - although this one has been stable for a while.... Machines in general don't seem to like me - working in an office was hard for that reason. Stuff malfunctioned. And now i don't work in offices aymore....I think it must have something to do with the field around a person but i don't know more than that--

Elsa, I can totally relate.  Light bulbs are a problem with me (I have to stock them!).  I've also noticed this happens all the time with camera batteries.  Virtually every special occasion where I've brought the camera (kid's graduations, parties) and even charged the batteries...they failed when I needed them.  Consequently, a lot of special occasions were not documented or recorded.

I think this could be a Uranus thing.

Yeah. Your aura is the electrical field around your body. If it is loaded in particular ways it will short out electrical or electronic circuits near it. I knew someone who once sent all the electronics in an airport skewhiff.

The electrical fields of machinery are much coarser than the kinds of energy a human processes (assuming they are at least a bit evolved). So if your energies get loaded, or are permanently loaded just by the kind of person you are, they'll override the machinery.

Interesting Opal. I was thinking aura but didn't want to say the "A" word!

Interesting too about people and the lightbulbs. I've never experienced that--

I like to have no appliances/electric stuff in my bedroom although I do keep my laptop in there. No tv though and the little radio isn't plugged in....

And speaking of electricity, i've been feeling very comforted listening to electronic music these days, total machine music.

I'm just the opposite, broken electronic stuff starts working around me. I'm usually the repair tech, so this can be frustrating for everyone. If the user can't show me what's wrong, I can't fix it. It becomes the dreaded "intermittent failure" which can't be fixed until someone who can fix it catches it in the act of failing. I wrote a "Murphy's Law" just for this problem, I call it The Unmentionable Law: whenever you mention a problem to the repair tech, the problem solves itself in a way that makes you look like an idiot for asking for help.

I don't think I have any effect on electronics. But I AM destructive in a general sense, because I move too quickly.

It took me about 10 seconds to make a big mark on my wall the other day while attempting to hang a picture. It took me a minute and a half to scratch my front door while adjusting a curtain. I break knobs off radios. The covers tear off my books. I never have a complete set of dishes or glasses. I'm almost always bruised somewhere on my body from crashing into something. I never am able to keep a matching set of earrings because one rips out of my ear in the shower and falls down the drain, or somehow ends up under the seat of my car. My CDs inevitably become scratched.

If something is broken... I will break it more while attempting to "fix" it. Do not let me near your stuff.

And... people hit my car, when it's parked and I'm not in it, because they "don't see it there." Just like they can't remember if I was at the same party they were at, or sitting next to them during a group conversation.

yup, I kill printers/scanners.  there's a printer graveyard in my garage.  my grandmother killed watches.

in my case I'm sure I magnetize them.  I can't read a compass because the magnetism of my heart muscle overrides that of "north."   I also happen to have an electronic heart anomaly which I've been treated for medically.

Lights go out on me - most often street lights when I walk past.  I have a hard time keeping traditional filament bulbs intact, too, but I've swapped my house over to the fancy swirly energy saving ones and they seem fine.

An interesting question. I'm working with advanced consumer eletronics, but never had given it a tought. I think it's quite possible. There are people who seem to have constant, unexplainable problems with their equipment.

And ironically, I think some of the people whose energy effects electronical equipment may actually work on fixing them. My ex could quite possibly be one of them -  he definitely has some weird energy, he even had some poltergeist experiences as a teen. In his early 20's, when we met, he was working for a developement company. I actually remember his colleagues telling me, how the computers he used always seemed to develope some major malfunction. They couldn't have been more surpriced when my ex got, a couple of years later, a job as a computer technician. He really put his heart on it, studied a lot, and has made a career out of it.

Does this run in a family?

I had two distant relative who were both struck and killed by lightning.  Before my time, but I think I inherited it.

I have almost been struck by lighting several times.  Once, it missed me by liteally a few seconds, I saw the flash in my rear view mirror.

I am cognizant of it, and I take caution.

When I was working outside there were a lot of superstitions about this.  Most others just wanted me the hell away from them.

The safest thing was for me to get in my car and leave at the first sign of a storm.

I was electrocuted when I was very young, from what I was told by my parents.  Minor accident that I survived unhurt.  But, I do also have issues with electronic appliances.

I took the time to learn as much as I could about electricity, and how to protect myself.  It's not hard, few simple rules to make sure that even if an machine/appliance get fried, you stay whole.  That third plug is very important.

Agreed with the above, CFL's are great.

Fax machines and copy machines are a different story, they all exist to taunt me.  I am very mechanically inclined, I don't think its operator failure.

Astrologically speaking, the ex with poltergeist energy has a  Mercury-Uranus conjunct that's both part of a Cradle  (Mercury-Uranus/Venus/Mars/Jupiter) and a T-square (Mercury-Uranus/Moon/Jupiter.

not usually, but when I was very brokenhearted my ipod would turn itself on in the middle of the night and play specific sentimental songs that it was not cued to play. I would turn it off and it would begin again in about 10mins, untill I took it off the dock completely. this occurred a few times over the course of about a month.

Omie, your story gave me chills.

Yes, I can't keep a watch for very long.  I think I remember that I have the same configuration as the soldier with moon in scorpio conjunct neptune.  Not sure if this is why.  I've written on here a couple of times about all the strange things that happen to me... I always thought I was 'normal' until I starting writing on the boards here. :)

I constantly had problems with my laptops at work... I get to know the IT people very well... they eventually have to replace and then keep working on the new ones.  This has happened in 3 different places.

I have the same problem with lightbulbs, even the fluorescent bulbs don't last.  You should see my garage cabinet... it's filled with replacements.

I have a good home appliance insurance plan because since I moved in 2 years ago, they're all going out, one by one... just replaced the dishwasher last week.  Geez.  It's paid for itself.   Not an old house, either...

I need to go back to what someone else on the boards wrote about surrounding yourself every morning with a positive energy field. ha.

Not so much, only radios.  If I'm tuning one in with the old-fashioned knob tuners, I'll get the station dialed in, take a step back and static.  Take a step forward, music.  It's a curious dance.

My best Gem can't keep a battery wristwatch, she drains them.  Kinetic ones work extremely well, though.

Me. Phone signals constantly dropping, computer issues left and right, batteries dying...why can't I make positive things happen, like...I dunno...Ice cream magically appearing in my freezer? My kitchen faucet suddenly spouting champagne? My closet perpetually offering clean underwear? This would be such better uses for my magnetism or what have you.

I loved reading these experiences.  I have an Aquarius hubby but he is pretty good with the electronics stuff.  My Libra son is the king of the electric gadgets in this household.  We don't have too many glitches (only when no-one listens to me and we buy something during the mercury retro!)

Omie your story freaked me out too - I would have called Jason and Grant of the ghosthunters it that happened to me!

I know lots of people like this.

I'm (usually) the opposite - I can get machines and electronics to work again by just thinking about it. I do have to apply my energy/intention. Once my Dad was in a really tense situation - lots was hanging in the balance - and he needed to print something out asap. But his computer suddenly went blank - literally, all black, very strange, and he panicked - he hadn't even touched it, then nothing he pressed would work. I nearly yelled at him to get away from the computer; I was certain it would get better if i could change the energy - so he walked away and I just waited near it, looking at it. 'It will work', I said to him, 'just wait'. He was so impatient, he couldn't help himself, came over, quickly touched a button, and it all worked. The document was printed out within a minute - he looked at me, amazed. It helps when you calm down!, I said.

Anyway, the xerox machine at my old job always works with me, not so well with others. And so on....

What is this? I attribute it to having a liking and genuine respect for machines, but what is it, really? And what's the astrology?

Haha I don't blow out light bulbs as much as some of you guys do but I do get shocked a lot!! For me, everywhere I drive (at night) the street lights go out right as I'm passing them!! I never understood why... still don't.. my bf tried to tell me that it was b/c of the timing and the route I take.. but everywhere I go whether its my first time there whatever the street lights turn out as I'm driving passed!!! (He's accepted this fact now.) Plus I noticed that when I'm really tired or drained the lights turn on if they're already off!! Only street lights though..

How about the other end? I seem be able to fix electronics when I show up. I do have the education and background, and it is what I do for a living. If I had a nickel for everytime I showed up and it would not do it again, I'd be rich. I am told electronics, computers software, fear me so they act right when I'm around.

I've been experiencing this a lot in the last few months. I don't know if it's me, or if it's the energy around a new intense relationship, but I burnt out a new lightbulb two days ago. Radios act up when I'm near, lightbulbs dim, I broke my boyfriends tea maker a week ago (i went to use it and it simply just... would not work all of a sudden. It wasn't very old and my boyfraand had used it 20 minutes earlier.) There are other things but, I feel like it's something different than the electrical stuff. Either way, it mostly happens when I'm feeling something intensely, or having a really intense moment. Burnt out the lightbulb during some great sex, haha. Anyone else notice a pattern of when it seems to happen? Is it connected to your emotions? Important life stuff? Uranus has something to do with it?

:O my birthday is in 11 days, when's yours Tom? March 2nd :)!

    "when's yours Tom?"

28 Feb( 11:57), and yes you will find electronics do break during a Mecury retro. That is when I see the most problems, normally people caused.

and Yes Elsa, it should be, but I am due after the last 7 years of Uranus in Pisces, and saturn the last 2 years. If you ever had Saturn in Uranus, you know how painful that can be....:)

This kind of stuff happens to me all my life, but I have advanced degrees in hard sciences and engineering so I always took it with a grain of salt  I once got so mad at an electronics lab TA because my circuit wouldnt work on the test, It worked on the exact same bench the day prior on a test run. I think he was the jinx because he was hovering and trying to assist me....lol....  I needed the A for I was applying for Fellowships.  While its nice to find similar people, I almost feel uncomfortable not being in the minority if that makes any sense.  In any case, I appreciate everyones comments on here because I have experienced almost everyone of them and Im glad to see my theories werent crazy or delusional.
