pluto's transit of your ascendant
posted 11 months ago in Ask For Astrology-Based Advice
Pluto will form a trine with my ascendant in May...
May I ask what sort of effects you are feeling already?
Remember that Pluto moves really slowly. I wouldn't look for daily differences but certainly a transformation will take place-- over the next couple of years....
Is it conjuncting anything else? What aspects will it make?
I am interested in this. My Pluto is squaring my sun right now and years after, it's likely to square my ascendant (as soon as it opposes my moon). Any stories you can share would be much appreciated!
Pluto is conjunct my ascendant but retrograding right now, in the 12th house. Lots of change on the horizon, with possible repatriation, loss of close family and children spreading their wings. I am sensing a change in perspective and priorities are becoming clearer. Not so much a baptism of fire which is sudden and shocking but similar to a change in the season. You are aware of it's stealthy, unwavering, steady movement, the fruits and flowers of the season before are no longer part of your daily awareness. You are now conscious of new shoots, but miss the blooms you were accustomed to. As each day passes the forces of the new and unfamiliar gather momentum. Gradually they absorb your immediate attention until you see a photograph of your garden ablaze with colour from a few weeks before, which makes you aware of what has transpired, and what has been captured forever in your memory. And then you look outside and see a tightly wrapped bud entangled in a bed of weeds, and a new memory is released.
This is how it feels for me.
the interesting thing for me with pluto conjunct my ascendant was comparing it to my uranus conjunction with my midheaven natally. One is insidious change with pluto(I guess what you were saying, lunalie?) and the Uranus is more sudden and erratic. so these are conflicting experiences in my mind. because pluto is so slow moving, i would also look to the transits that occurred while pluto was transiting your 12th house.
pluto in my 12th saw my natal saturn 8th/venus+mars conjunction 4th/neptune 12th trine activated for a long time. As well there was an opposition with my jupiter/gemini in 6th activated for some time. So all those things came in to play...
one thing i can say for sure was i had extreme bouts of paranoia that I was dead and/or dying. Reality was tough to get a hold of (that must be the saturn/neptune/pluto transit).
i had another pal, older than me but was also sagittarius ASC and neptune in Sag, but a few years older. He told me he had paranoia, but about people trying to kill him. (his was a pluto/moon/neptune thing! i'm not trying to be negative. just that there are so many ways this thing could play out...it's a great question and hopefully if those of us talk about it we can see a common astrological thread?
Hello friends, I have had Pluto transiting my natal Sun (so identical energy), and transiting my MC.
The transit to my MC was a heavy one. I entered university, I felt very depressed, over the period of one year, and yes, I had gone through a rebirth in my self.
I get out of my shell, from a timid to a more outgoing personality, I became different and in touch with my emotions and tastes. However it last over 1-2 years this process.
Then, 6 years later (2-3 years ago) I had Pluto over Sun. This was manifested as a career change; again a very heavy feeling, and a very heavy searching for something inside me. I came up with a lot of options of paths that I can follow in my life (path=Sagitarius purpose). I had planned to change my career and I met my current partnet. I became again with much different goals, through a 2 years long and gradual process, still going on now.
The "death" of many parts of my life.
(I'm having midlife transits at the same time too.)
This feels different from when Pluto was on my Sun.

Hi- I'm approaching this phenomena and already feeling some effects. None are pleasant. Feels like I'll need sedation through the entire event.
I'm interested in hearing anything you'd like to share on this - what it you experienced, how you evolved on the other end? And most importantly, will I live through it?
Many thanks
