I have been pitching at something (someone) for 2-3 years now and gotten lukewarm response at best.  I know, I know.  A person should register rejection and believe me I do but this case was different.

The soldier cautioned me about assuming the worst and the fact is my deeper sense was that I should continue to pitch anyway letting go of any expectation so this is what I did. I just kept sending loving energy into the wind over these last years and long story short, the last time I reached out, I used a different medium and voila! Love came pouring back.

I was so heartened by this I've not been able to express myself very well especially with all the other distractions and demands but I just wanted to say that miracles happen and always, always trust your gut... and go with your heart.

    your turn

My Phils are fighting and are toughing it out to stay in the World Series in spite of being very behind.  I love to see that kind of fight, that kind of heart - it's so inspiring to me.  Makes me see I can stay strong in my life.  You gotta believe and you gotta stay in it.

    Here's to inspiration!

6 years after i put my name on a list to be put in city rental housing, i've finally been told i should look for an email for an application. 6. years...good thing i have a short attention span or i would've died of boredom waiting for this to happen. good thing taurus knows how to wait.

of course, Uranus just entered my 4th House...so this isn't "good news"in so far I wanted to share the news that I am an unyielding optimist.:)

my city is so so so expensive for housing...i love my home and it is affordable, but with affordable comes a cold draft.

That's funny Kashmiri, I was just reading up on how I could apply for affordable housing. I do not know how to go about it, but I have been searching the web on how to find affordable housing.

My good news is, I told the universe that I am ready for income, my own place, direction and travel. The next day my friend called and told me to be her personal assistant for a movie she is doing make-up on. They are flying her out from New jersey to L.A. and I will be helping her do make-up on 6 actors for 10 days. Soooo Happy! This will also look great on a resume.

6 years ago during civic elections there was a referendum if citizens approved the city to build a new community centre/pool/rental housing complex in the neighbourhood I now live in. I called City Hall and figured out how to be put on a list...kept in touch about once a year. Randomly decided to do so today, and got this response. I wonder what will happen? I just thought it was funny I've been waiting for so long. You almost forget what you're waiting for at that point. Have you ever read kafka?

I guess the moral of the story is: sometimes your City is actually doing things and it pays to pay attention..?

Nope never read Kafka, what should I read if wanted to read Kafka?

Bretagne it' so cool what is happening to you......and

"I told the universe that I am ready for income, my own place, direction and travel."

    HOW FANTASTIC IS THIS LINE!!!!!!!!

As for me: my own creative businnes is slowly growing...

and after a long story of "men are going to hurt", I'm definetly having my head moving in to "I'm going to be so happy with a partner"

And this is my sentence for the universe

This is amazing elsa - and everyone! :)

I had a dream I was pregnant on Sunday. I looked this dream up because I wasn't in some kind of pregnancy scare (I'm on birth control AND biologically, I supposedly have problems conceiving though never been a concern). I found out that pregnancy in a woman's dream represents growth and creativity. It also forsees income.

That day, my former client called me. He has four projects for me and more will be coming soon. So on top of a "Word of Mouth" referral from a former client, I have more work from one client coming in. On top of this, I'm getting my feet wet in styling and makeup artistry. My beautiful double Pisces friend, also my muse, is having a book launch and I styled her outfit and will be working on her makeup. So yeah - it looks like I'm on the right path!

    go lunalie!!!

Metamorphisis is one of his best known short stories. This man wakes up and realizes he's been turned into a beetle.

kafkaesque is a phrase bandied about a lot, mostly to do with bureaucratic things people are a  part of, and find themselves having to do, inexplicably

For something to be Kafkaesque I think it also needs to be eerie and surreal.  Not over the top horrifying but like kashmiri said within the realm of the everyday things we get swept up into. Have you ever been in a long line at the post office and had a paranoid moment where you thought you had died and this eternal waiting was your penance for some grave mistake you can't recall. Thats Kafkaesque.

    I suggest the penal colony.

I came back from vacation and my boss surprised me.

    With a raise.

With the max he could give me for a "merit" raise.

Best.  Boss.  EVER.  I bust my ass for him, and for our team, quite happily.  (I am a worker bee, after all!)

So so happy!  And that's not even touching the fantabulous vaca I had!
