It occurred to me it might be fun to ask each other questions. No one has to answer anything but if you have a question, ask it here!

Elsa you have referred to the movie The Godfather many times. Is there an astrological reason that you are drawn to the movie or is it just personal?

For example my favorite movie is Out of Africa. Karin Blixen the author had a moon pluto conjunction and I really identify with the things she does and says in the movie.

Tam, I like the earthy tone of the first movie and the Italianess of it all but it is the soldier obsessed with Michael and Appollina not just in the movie but in the book.

As for the astrology, I do love my culture which would be a nod to the Moon and getting mixed up with characters in movies is a nod to Venus Neptune. :)

I don't actually relate to Apollonia, she is the soldier's projection and one he had when we were kids by the way.

He sat there and made up my whole reality and when I told him he was wrong he told me he was not wrong and so I fell in love with him, why not?

Anyone here read Dan Brown's latest book (the lost symbol?)  I am just about done - on the last chapter.  I was a little disappointed.  It seemed alot like "The Secret" nonsense to me, but, I tend to be cynical about stuff like that.  I certainly enjoyed the Da Vinci Code a whole lot more - just wondering what you all think.

Amazon Kash!  Click through Elsa's site.  :)

Kashmiri mentioned wanting to meet people from the board.  I'm curious to know who else is adventurous to meet people from the internet.  I got my husband on Craigslist so obviously I'm game.  If time and distance weren't a factor, would you want to meet your Elsa board pals in real life?

Lupa I think I'd be weird for a little bit and then I'c calm down and be normal, just like in real life, heh heh

I get all- SPROING!!!!!- off of other people's energy (Uranus conjunct MC-you have this too, right?) and then I calm down. I can barely talk when I enter a room I have to 'settle' first. :)

Elsa have you ever had a kitty cat?

Yes. I had cats when I was a kid and had 27 of them at one time once. Desert cats... er, somewhat feral if I were to be honest.

I would have a cat now (Vid LOVES them) but I am allergic as hell and my daughter was even more so.

When we got Dora's nails clipped the other day, there were two cats in there and Vid always goes nuts. I really wish he could have one, he loves them to pieces and I was the same way when I was a kid.

Lupa if you include the guitar gathering camping trips I organized back in 1999 and 2000, I've met over 100 people from the internet.

    I'm game.

Yes Kashmiri, I have Uranus midheaven.  I am easily overwhelmed by noise and chaos when I'm trying to work but I am very still and quiet with new people usually.  Scorp moon and ascendant take charge until they decide it's ok for the Gemini to come out and play.

Yeah Shannon, I've probably met at least that many between internet dating adventures and pagan groups that started on the internet.

We should make an Elsa map so people (us brave/foolish ones anyway) can put little flags up where they are.

Okay, I have some questions, so I'll start with some of the folks right here:

Elsa, what is your favorite thing to cook?

Kashmiri, would you ever consider selling your artwork/making it available to Elsa's community?

Lupa, I think you are in the Atlanta area.   This isn't a question as much as it is a shout-out, since I will be in Lawrenceville in 2 weeks for my nephew's wedding.  Hi!

Shannon---you play the guitar?  Do you sing too?

Dorothy-- not a question.  Just agreeing about The Lost Symbol!

For everyone:   what's the one thing in your life that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face?

Everyone has an open invitation to my coffee shop (unless you're a vampire, then you're not invited.)

So if you ever find yourself in or around the shining metropolis of Denton, TX and suffering from caffiene withdrawl, please head my way.

I've gotten real big! I love the way strangers look at me. They all make the same "Oh!" face while hypnotically staring at my belly.  Its amusing. When I went for my sono she said I was further along then I thought.  She moved the due date to February 25.  Yay Fish Baby! :) Oh and Its a girl, woohoo!

Miss, What was your experience like giving birth (if you don't mind sharing?)  I keep feeling warm and fuzzy about the baby and then it dawns on me like a horror movie that its gotta come out somehow.  AhHHHHHHH! I'm usually pretty intrepid, but AhhHHHHH!

@ Maureen - I sing better than I play guitar.  I'm kind of a hack guitarist but I enjoy it.  I also play several other instruments with varying degrees of proficiency

" Elsa, what is your favorite thing to cook?"

maureen, it depends on my mooooood (moon).

But I cop to being co-dependent (and mutable) so I most enjoy cooking what the people around me want to eat. I like being able to provide this for them, like a dressmaker making the exact dress of your dreams. :)

That is so exciting notatirem!  My son has a Pisces moon too - and he was also a big baby.  He is such a great kid, but that is just me bragging.

Don't ask anyone about their experience giving birth  - every woman's experience is different.  Just know you will deliver your baby, and everything will be okay, and then she will be in your arms

I met distant cousins on the Internet through genealogy research. They asked me to come out to Idaho to visit them and I went! I was able to see 4 states that I had never seen, and they were really good to me.

Notatirem, I had three very different birth experiences.  First was a c-section 6 weeks early due to pre-eclampsia.  second a V-bac in the hospital and finally a home birth in a tub.  Of course the home birth was my ideal but each of my births resulted in a healthy baby and I recovered quickly.  There isn't a wrong way to do it and trusting yourself to make the best decision for you and your little girl is the only way to go.

I love this thread!  And the map - what a great idea Lupa.

Here's my question:  what's the furthest you've ever traveled?  I have a Cancer stellium in 9th, used to travel a lot w/in US, been to Canada/Mexico, but never left No. America - would very much like to some day and been thinking about it a lot lately.

And Lupa yes I'm game to get together - it would be kinda weird at first but still it would be very cool to meet you all in person.  I'd invite everyone to meet where I live but it's winter and well we're not at our BEST in winter frozen tundra thing and all . . .

Toni - storks come from the same place that babies come from     couldn't resist

Maureen - babies, my loved ones, a full moon, sunrise/sunset ... oh wait you asked for ONE thing, whoops.

notatirem - I checked out your pic on the map and your coffee shop looks very cozy. I'd love to pull up in my beat-up Honda and go in to watch you make a foam picture in my mocha latte.  Oh and I've given birth to four big babies, no drugs, all natural, and the trick is to focus on your breathing and remember you come from a long line of powerful women all of whom did what you're going to do and came through it just fine.  The only thing I'd do differently if I were having them now is I wish I could have done the water/tub birth like Lupa, but I didn't know about it back then.  I did Lamaze tho and went with a few friends as Coach and it really does help I think.

notatirem- i've only done it once, and i had drugs!! (mmm. drugs.) it was manageable and i think i'd have been okay without too but preferred to minimize that part of the experience. mostly, i think HEARING all the damn birth/baby horror stories people like to tell pregnant women was way worse than the actual event.

Notatirem--I go to Dallas every now and again, perhaps I could swing by Denton and have a coffee someday!

I also plan on booking a hair appt w/ Gloria next time I'm in San Diego visiting my in-laws.  That woman has great style!

I'd love to meet all of you!

ha ha togi, no worries:) we can just talk about it for as long as you like--my Gemini DES loves to think of all the people I could meet even if sometimes I don't actually get the chance

maureen, I am willing (and surprised/happy you asked). I've started lithography this year and am all of a sudden moving out of abstract drawing into representational so everything is new and weird all over again...gotta go thru my excrutiating shy period first--ho ho ho

peppermint your post has me intrigued...are you up north too? i somehow imagined you are from the dakotas but maybe i just dreamt that.

trying to figure out the furthest, distancewise. it's either kathmandu or perth. i swear cartographers make australia look a lot closer/smaller than it actually is.
