My Gemini on the DC likes to check out what everyone's doing.
I love Sarah Palin - she's one gutsy broad. The things she has had to put up with being said about her and her family would have most of us undone, but it seems to just make her more determined.
I think that levi johnson guy her daughter was with is a real scumbag. Bristol is so much better off without him
I'm watching that - it will be my first Oprah show ever!!
This ought to be VERY interesting!!! I don't personally care for Sarah, I don't thing she has much to offer. She was my Governor for a time and she didn't finish that job.
How odd!
I never cared much for Palin. Must be some projection there or something. I should look up her natal.

I am going to be GLUED to the TV. I really can't think of anything this good on TV since Lonesome Dove debuted 'round about 1989!!
Ha ha ha, I can hardly wait!
Hopefully there will be some turkeys being slaughtered in the background! (remember that one?)
She's uh... well, too much of a rube for international politics, I think.
She's hot. (not pc, i know)
I'm no fan of her politics (from what i know), but she's got tons of charisma. I'm sure we wouldn't be friends in real life :)

sigh Lonesome Dove was soooo gooood.
The soldier and I woke up the day before our wedding and it was on. The whole thing, I mean, so we just stayed in bed and watched it.
I don't like Palin, but if any of you do, maybe you see something in her I don't.
But I have to admit, she is entertaining to watch!
Get this: they both have Sun and Mercury in Aqua. Sara's moon is in Aqua and O's is in Sag. Mars - SP's in Aqua and O's in Scorp. Lots of interest in the other on each side I would imagine...or else TOTAL detachment. Ha ha.
I guess I am surprised since Oprah clearly backed Obama - not sure if I will watch. I don't enjoy Sarah Palin, and Oprah can get on my nerves as well.
I was only interested in her when she was potentially going to be the next Vice President, and even then, I found most of the coverage of her to be extremely catty. Now that she's off the political scene, I couldn't care less about her.
Lonesome Dove is one of my all time favorite TV mini series.....that and the Wings of War. Damm, I loved Gus and that was one of Diane Lane first roles....I had to go out and buy the book to read.
I have never been an Oprah fan, but I liked Sarah Palin. I thought she went a little overboard with the soccer mom thing, but that irritates me also....maybe because it was just foreign to me (the blonde bobbed moms driving suburbans). I felt bad for her because I think the campaign people were trying to alter her personality and it came across wrong. She is one tough cookie and I like that and when she spoke freely and from her heart, I thought she was being herself....an Alaskan girl, which is a whole lot different than what we are used to seeing in the political eye.
I enjoyed her toughness as well, and thought McCain sorta threw her to the wolves toward the end there. And remember the kid who got tased at that other political event, who was asking Kerry some tough questions? "Don't tase me bro!" I noticed nobody got tased when they got tough on the two women running in that election (Palin and Clinton). Just sayin'
But yeah what a shock when she resigned as Alaska's governor. Her family must have felt like they'd been put through the wringer for sure.
My family and I were/are cult followers of Lonesome Dove, to the point where lines from the movie made it into everyday family conversations in a form of code.
"I don't think you boys should try to drive to (the big city) tonight, there's going to be all kinds of traffic, with drunk drivers at the wheel, when that big game is over and the stadium empties out." "Yeah boys, them bulls'll hook ya." (From the scene where Gus and Pea-Eye are contemplating chasing a herd of buffalo for the fun of it.)
WOW. On the one hand, I'm with Purple Thistle... and I'd like to see her just disappear from the scene. On the other... OH MY. I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from watching it, though it makes me feel totally queasy just thinking about it! Is it sweeps week by any chance?
I am with Pink and Purple LOL The only good thing I can equate with Palin was Tina Fey. My mother could never tell the 2 apart but Fey's impressions were just hilarious imo.

On the upside of Palin, you have to hand it to her for marching thru the family problems with her head held high and being honest. She is not PC and I really applaud and respect a maverick BUT on the other side..........
I think she's stupid, I think she's using her looks to get ahead, I think she's morphed into an ego maniac since hitting the limelight. I think she's going to cash in anyway she can. Her animal rights philosophy is amoral, (esp. to the animals,) She's not political material. She needs to be the head of some organization for women that parade as men, complete with a strap -on dildo fortified with energizer batteries.![]()
But you've got to hand it to her for Chutzpah. She isn't gonna lay down and roll over for anyone. I applaud that in a person. No shrinking violet here. And she makes no apologies either. But please please please Sarah, stay out of public office. ![]()
So what happened with the Palin interview?
I tried reading about it on the Oprah site, but the moving ads were driving me nuts and I had to bail.

Oprah goes rogue, invites Palin on show
"In a world exclusive, Oprah Winfrey will interview former Alaska
governor Sarah Palin for an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" to air Monday, Nov. 16, 2009. Winfrey and Palin will meet for the very first time on the episode, which will mark Palin's first interview to discuss her upcoming book, "Going Rogue: An American Life" and her first-ever appearance on the "Oprah" show.
I don't think I turn on the TV even once a year or even once every 2 years but THIS I will not miss!! :)
You?
