I have an active gym membership and haven't been able to find enough motivation to go for the last five months.

I want (or think I want) to lose about 7kgs but keep self sabotaging. Yesterday I went out and bought a pack of crisps and a block of cheese (yum they are so goooood mixed together).. which I finally finished today KNOWING how many calories I was packing in but feeling kind of.. rebellious (against who or what remains a mystery)

My favourite saying lately is... "whatever!"

thanks for the sweetener info Goddess.. link didn't work but will check that out for hubby who has a sweet tooth. Sympathies GW..motivation's gone here.. maybe we're being taught by Saturn in Virgo that actually what's inside is more important than all that image stuff..just a thought.. Saturn in Virgo is also associated with sluggish digestion, so that wouldn't help...exercise is maybe the key

Couple of months ago, bought the book "I can Make you Thin" by Paul McKenna..nice DVD also in there I see.. but haven't been motivated to open it yet..it's sat in the kitchen on the counter, next to the cookbooks..gets in the way sometimes ; )

Well thanks to this thread I still didn't eat those nuts, see, this is GOOD

Do you see a connection between your jupiter and the way you eat?

Virgo jupiter: my diet does not include anything that makes me crave for more

I just eat tons of fruits, veggies, soya and yogurt (no carbs no meat no cheese, no alcool)

Aspartame affects me badly. Do you know about the Donald Rumsfeld/aspartame connection?

    Keep that streak going Elsa!

I'm assembling my Dr-prescribed rowing machine today (12th house mars). I'm going to look for an ocean sound MP3.

I see Jupiter transiting my first has seen me gain weight which is very common..

Jupiter is on my progressed Asc and right now I am the heaviest I have ever been. (I was weighed Monday and whoa.)

Not for long though I hope.

I can quit drinking in a heartbeat and I've quit coffee a few times (I can live without it).

Sugar, pasta and rice, however are my real addictions. Now if only this prediabetic can peel herself out of those!

Peel yourself out, lunalie! Try even reducing the intake. Don't think of it as cold turkey. You are too young for diabetes. You have control over type 2. I know it's damn hard but don't give up. Aries, right? Double aries? Trying to remember... I know, you prob already are working hard at this--

As for me and jupiter influencing food. Oh yes. I have mars in cancer square jupiter - sweet tooth. Excessive sweet tooth. Optimistic that that one treat won't make a difference. See, I'm not a sweets binger -- just one puts on the weight!

I always look better thinner (I think) but I can only be so active. Being healthy, making peace with food, self, self-image. This is what's important to me. I'm getting older, body changing.

I tend to lose weight on low-carb/low sugar diets with absurd amounts of exercise. Blah blah blah...

I don't drink (it puts me to sleep), I quit smoking, rarely have caffeine, never took drugs -- don't I deserve a cupcake?

    Hi Moonpluto!

Yes, I'm double Aries. And giving up sugar is the HARDEST thing for me! Reducing the intake is ridiculous... I know I was recommended to have  half a palm's sized portion of carbs/sugars but it's so hard! Lately too I've been going through tough times (layoffs, thought of changing careers, etc, financial problems).. And it's easy to turn to sugar and carbs - ESPECIALLY since pasta is so damn cheap and everything else isn't!!! :(

So yeah, I'm working on it. I am probably the weakest-willed Aries around.. Haha!

I do need exercise, but because of the tough times AND my asthma, it's been tough getting out there and running.

God Satori I love your writing!!!!!

This week has been about noses for me - just telling someone about Michelangelo and someone picking at his nose and what he did to them.

    Picking his nose???

His $$ paying patron was complaining about the nose on a sculpture not being right - ol' Mike liking what he'd already accomplished rolls right up there with some marble dust in his hand and ONLY ACTS like he's striking away at that pesky nose with a few minor taps and let's that marble dust fall right on the old griping bird's head. "Ah, that is so much better!"

    Supposedly that's a true story.

Your analogy about water/nose sculpting was perfect, I feel the same way about taking my vitamins. Surely, they are supposed to be doing something wonderful for my innards, but can you tell it from the outside? Not me.

Just have to keep plugging away. Besides you want to be found looking fabo the next time you see your ex or any of his friends or your friends, right? Looking Fab.u.lass has to count for something, eh? You haven't totally gone to the dogs. Drink up girl, a little more water for the pipes can't do much harm if you don't count running to the bathroom all the time!

made it to the gym for a pretty comprehensive workout -the 2nd in a month but hey!  2.5 day streak.

I did eat and eat today but pretty good choices if you consider 700 strawberries a good meal.  Not sure what my problem is other than I had hard work to do today and felt the need to ground in order to function well.

Still I have been up off my ass every day for awhile - this much I can claim.

I've noticed two things: I'm addicted to diet drinks, the less diet drinks I have the less I eat or crave. Hmmmm

I have had one serving of diet soft drinks every other day, but my cravings for sweets have gone away.

Does anyone know how many days you have to go without something before you stop craving it?

Tam - some old man told me, "30 days makes a habit".

Brilliant rant. I exercise 5 times a week- but not at the intensity I should... I don't eat sweets, but can't stop at a handful of nuts. I never touch soft drinks, but as a triple pisces looooooove my vino, & eat beautifully until I get home. I don't do moderation, I don't do boundaries well & as a result my boobs are running down to meet my gut which is turning into some sort of verandah. I am making a deal with myself to give up the wine during the week (& did so last week- Yay!) & the carbs after 3pm- that is sort of like a real diet to me. Somehow I don't think I am going to drop the 20kgs I need to drop in the 4 weeks before I go on holidays :)

I walk 3-4 miles almost every day

I take a dance class once a week

I am starting a second dance class

I eat reasonably well most of the time

My jeans are hanging off me in one size and yet .... the next size is a lot too small.

    WTF?!?!?!

And why do I care about the size of my jeans?  I don't, but I'd like to find a pair that fucking fit me. Actually I'd like to find any clothes to fucking fit me, and the more weight I lose the worse it gets.

OK I gotta stop ranting about this one, or it will make me cry.  It sucks to work so hard and do ostensibly so well and have NOTHING to show for it. And I refuse to wear ugly polyester fat lady elastic waist pants.  I'm just sayin'.
