Saturn in Libra and Libra sauciness

I don't know who else to say this to but you guys.  I was having a mini-rant in my head yesterday and wasn't too surprised to come on ElsaElsa last night and find that Elsa had been posting further about partnership and parenting topics close to my heart.  It's in the air.

    Anyway, here is my rant:

I separated from my ex-husband just about 2 1/2 years ago.  My decision to do that was not because I didn't want to be married (I very much did!) but because it wasn't the right environment for my child.  Since that time, I've been doing *everything* alone.  Earning the money alone, maintaining the home alone, parenting the child alone, choosing the schools alone, researching and funding the legal defense alone, furthering my career, folding the laundry alone, shopping for the groceries alone, shoveling the snow alone, cooking the meals alone, getting the car fixed alone, watching the tv alone, and hauling out the damn trash alone.

And yes, I have a boyfriend, so at least I haven't been having sex purely alone, but he travels frequently, doesn't live with us, and is only a boyfriend, not a husband or a dad.  He's a sweet guy.  But,  anyhoo.

So, strangely, all my friends seem to be Sadge or Aquarius, and for some reason keep telling me I need to satisfy my needs alone, or find support networks that are not my SO, or be happy that my son and I are confronting hardships alone.

This is where I want to call BULLSHIT.

It seems to me like telling a Taurus they should wear scratchy clothes because it will build character.  Who needs that kind of character?!  Why would a Libra want to do anything alone?  WHY?!   Guess what?  I don't want to do any of this alone.  Not the big things, not the small things.  I can do anything I want alone (see list above) and do it just fine, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.  I want a real partner for all of it and I don't see why in hell I shouldn't have one.

Thank you for reading my rant.

What is the astrology of alone? Like Eleanor Rigby alone?

I would say my definition of "alone" is pretty Libran - sans permanent partner.  It's not like no one ever talks to me, although btw I don't have any family members around for these things either.  By "alone" I mean, under my own steampower.

I think that I understand your rant.  It's nice to have someone around.

I've been married for so long, I don't remember what it is like to live alone.  Both husband and I have the Saturn-Neptune in Libra conjunction.   I get lonely when he's been gone a few days to see to his mother.  I'm a Cap and I'm quite self-sufficient.  But I like the company of having someone nearby for daily chattering away.  Besides he cooks.

    I wish you some satisfaction.

    Hells-to-the-yeah, homeslice!  Sing it!

I have a stellium in Libra.  I can do nearly everything alone, have for years, but it's not as satisfying.  Even sitting quietly, reading a book -- much better when someone else is in the house emitting energy.

I hear ya! Moved home with my libra parents :P Have my own space. Still daydream of having my own home (neptune transiting my 4th for forever) but think why bother when i have what i need here?

At least with saturn in libra others will start to think similarly..

I have been doing everything -ALONE for awhile. I have a 4.5 year old son, and have been doing it all alone. It sucks big time. taurus sun, libra moon, cap rising. Though I really do not like it, I have almost finally gotten used to it. The sad thing is I dom't have a boyfriend and haven't since my son was born. that is along time not to get horizontal with someone

(((Lynnpdx))) my son is almost the same age.  Here's hoping Saturn in Libra gets you laid!

I shouldn't have fantasized for even a moment that Saturn squaring Pluto exactly, exactly on my 4th/7th wouldn't be a PITA.
