Saturn Return: Update - the beginning of a new era!
posted 2 weeks ago in Astrology Stories
Gah, Lunalie, it's good to hear a story like this. I'm just beginning my Saturn return and the whole career thing is a serious befuddlement to me.
I told myself I would never work 9-5, yet here I sit in my little gray cube, typing in my little ergonomic keyboard and using my sideways mouse (clearly, my body says get the hell out of here) dreaming about what I should do next.
I know that my Saturn return is going to shake up a lot of things (besides my lame job), and I'm ready for the storm. I hope. :)
If you are meant to be in a certain path, life will have it's way of showing you that you are meant for this path. If you are not meant for that path, life will kick you out of it.
So true Lunalie, so true.
I got kicked out of one path real hard back in the spring, as I've mentioned a couple of times - still nursing an injury in fact. And I'm in the middle of making on my own as well. Thanks for posting Lunalie, it's nice to see someone else find their way around the same time as I did and I am so glad to see that you've got success coming your way!
alicia: I've fought the (want to be) self employment battle for years - since the very first time I got employed in a web development firm back in 2003. I gave it a few years of employment - because Cancer Moon feared the lack of security! I remember you have a Cancer moon and Pluto squaring it too, right? So there's really some kind of fear of the lack of security there.
It took me being laid off and a lot of hard work (I went through career testing, etc) to really realize what it was that I want. So yeah - it will take some time, and sometimes you will need a huge reality check like what I've had to realize this point. I took the advice of some of the wonderful people here: whatever it is that's happening is bigger than I am, so I'll have to roll with the punches and just obey Saturn, so to say...
Toni: that wise woman who said that is Elsa :)
dolce: I'm sorry to hear about the injury hon! I hope you feel better after that! Yeah, I actually hit rock bottom with this Saturn Return - and I bounced back up! So I figured I'd share this because hitting rock bottom is ONLY the beginning! It will only get better from there!
I forgot to tell you Lunalie, this post made me feel better. There's HOPE written all over it!
I quit my job in october, and usually it has been easy for me to get jobs in the social worker field, but not anymore, "jobs" do not return my calls, so I am a big question mark, what the hell is going on?, anyway I am also looking to attract clients for my healer praksis,, but nada, so I feel kinda stuck here. Have been doing some inner work etc. to see what is happening. I think the saturn return has to make me really want certain things and not being luke warm about a job, but really want it...also I feel inner tension and stress, which already showed up in august, I know it is a sign to change things, but boy it is sometimes a challenge.
(((((Lunalie)))))
Go girl!
I think the saturn return has to make me really want certain things and not being luke warm about a job, but really want it...
Yes! It's time to want something so badly and ask daddy (Saturn) to give it to you for Christmas!
((((((LUNALIE!!)))))))
I'm so happy for you. Very cool story for someone like me, just starting her SR.

I just want to share with you that the last year of grueling torment (hahah! Sorry, I'm a double Aries. I'm all about intensity!) has been worth it. After wavering on a career and just sitting and moping at home for five months since my layoff, I have decided to choose a path (just before Saturn entered Libra): I will no longer be employed and I WILL run my own business.
When I made this decision two weeks ago, I received a recommended client from a friend. I partnered up with my favourite Virgo (a web developer to compliment my design skills) and decided to tackle the project. A week later, a former client came to me and had so much work for me. Today, I received an email from another potential client of mine through a glowing recommendation from my former art director in the marketing firm I used to work in. Now I have work flowing my way - and all these clients are WORD OF MOUTH recommendations!
Perhaps it's Mars In Leo, but it seems like I'm doing much better than I was months ago. After a consultation with Elsa, she told me (not her exact words lol): If you are meant to be in a certain path, life will have it's way of showing you that you are meant for this path. If you are not meant for that path, life will kick you out of it.
Around August, I thought about switching careers into something different. I was going to be in the helping profession. When I did work on this (going back to school), I got denied of the application. After another two months of self-reflection, I decided that I perhaps I should give my old career a shot - except I should do it MY way: not being "employed" but being my own boss. I have a Saturn/Venus earth trine (Virgo and Taurus), both sextiled with my Moon in Cancer. Also, I have a midheaven in Capricorn and I'm a double Aries with a Ruling Mars in Leo to boot. I SHOULD be made for this stuff.
Anyway, that's enough of my story for now. I thought I'd share. :) Would you like to share any Saturn Return stories? How were you when you were younger? What path did you take after your Saturn Return?
