water water water. seriously it can help with a sugar crash.
I was thinking of going on some kind of a month long diet. I struggle with the concept of diets because while I do not have a weight problem (same weight for over a decade) I was bulimic from 14-20 years old. So thinking too much about what I eat is no longer in my lexicon. But I do have chronic pain issues and skin problems. My mum tells me I can fix it with my diet :::rolls eyes:::I'm not a sugar person so it's not that.
Anyway LisL...I hope you feel better, quick.
Kashmiri...look into a liver cleanse - might help with the skin. Diluted unsweetened cranberry juice, lemon water, flax oil, milk thistle...I have rosacea so I am plagued by skin issues but much better since I incorporated the above into my daily routine.
funny, togi, i was thinking about that. my bf did one a couple of years ago and it was amazing he says. he still has the workbook (it was part of a class he was taking). the self-administered coffee enemas were a bit daunting, apparently.
I am about 10 days off the shit, I mean the sugar and have not had a low feeling...never mind anything that could ever remotely be characterized as depression. 2 weeks ago I didn't even want to go out to the mailbox and this is so dramatic I am convinced that in my case, eating sugar will undo me.
The other thing I have to report to people who don't know or have lost track is this: Sanity is precious.
togi: I'd like to try your liver cleanse, but don't know the proportions of the ingredients you listed. Could you please post them? Thanks for the help.
I recently spent a couple weeks without sugar or caffeine (not my choice) and honestly I couldn't tell any difference, except caffeine makes some of my symptoms better.
And I have moon in the 6th if you do equal houses.
I was a vegetarian for 15+ years & I don't like eating meat. It grosses me out & I don't like the taste. But I feel better if I eat a lot of red meat.
Maybe those blood type diet books are correct?
LisL, I used to have a pure addiction to sugar and kashmiri's comment caught my eye because if I found myself in a panic because I had just polished off half a bag of conversation hearts or dessert mints (anything in pure sugar form was my vice), if I chugged as much water as I could swallow, it tended to flush the sugar out of my system and ward off a crash. Doesn't that sound like a total addict behavior? Nevertheless, I figure drinking that much water is always good for you no matter why you're doing it.
I just checked my chart for Saturn transits to my 6th when I used to do this (in college), and nothing. However, my last memory of this was when Pluto entered my 6th (Sagittarius, more or less). From that time till the end of Pluto's stay in my 6th (until last November), my body and my appetites have changed dramatically. I'm about 15 lbs lighter and I don't crave sugar as much. Pluto transits are hard to come by though, not to mention the slow way.
I, too, would like to see the liver cleanse formula. I was diagnosed with adult acne 30 years ago. That's the old term for rosacea. Saturn must have been in Virgo then, too.
I have a history of skin problems and joint pains. I think it's a classic for this old Capricorn with my Saturn square moon. I have done various things for my face over time. Things quit working after a while, and I'll have to try something else.
I have sugar problems, too. I have sugar crashes if I eat too many simple sugars or go too long between snacks. My natal Saturn is conjunct Neptune in my sixth house.
Sue Ellen I'll try to find some links. I am not going to go with the one my partner did. It involved things I am sure I can't cope with.
Thanks, Kashmiri. I didn't like the particular item you'd mentioned that your partner had used. It's not in my skill set.
I'm in a funk today. I forgot to mention my dental problems as part of the "afflicted Saturn". I saw an oral surgeon yesterday for a consult. I was referred by my dentist after an X-ray showed a problem. I thought it was sinus problems from tree pollen allergies. I have scheduled surgery next Monday. My problem is a "failed root canal."
Of course, my love of sugar over five plus decades didn't help in the dental department!
"not in my skill set" ha ha ha! me neither!
good luck with your dental appointment.
Thanks for the good luck wishes Kashmiri. I would have responded earlier, but I'm not good at navigation on the boards, yet.
I'm back from the apicoectomy. The surgeon says it looks good. I distinctly told my husband (& driver) I don't think they put me to sleep. I had to sober up to realize they did. Neptune!
Sugar is the topic here. I had a milkshake with soft fruit for lunch today. It was actually on the list of approved foods.
Yeah, the three S's. I have all three, Saturn in the Sixth house and Sugar problems.

Remember that sugar discussion Elsa posted a couple of weeks back?
I just had the worst sugar crash this morning, and I didn't even eat a lot of it. I raided the last of the Valentine's candy. I felt woozy, dizzy, nauseous, you name it, just from eating a small amount of chocolate.
I can't eat this shit no mo'. I made some ginger tea, and that's calming my stomach down.
Saturn isn't aspecting any of my Virgo planets right now, but it's been firmly planted in my 6th house (Placidius system) for a while now.
