I once read that Leos are especially freaked by spiders for some reason and I've noticed this with a few Leos including my son.    Maybe Mars in LEO was sniffing this one out as well.   STOP moving dem spiders!!

When my hubby is gone I call my mom (who lives a few blocks away) to kills spiders.  We had a problem with scorpions the first couple of years after our house was built, and one bit my husband on his ass cheek while we were in bed.  The first thing I said was "oh my God, thank goodness it was you and not me".  He could only laugh.  Then I apologized   Really though, if it was me it would've been 100 times more dramatic. haha

shell if you opened that link, crap! I remember I got over my spider phobia when I went to Australia and traveling through the outback so bird-eating spiders...yes, birds! and their silk was as think as twine. I thought 'gee i can handle a few canadian dandylonglegs'  ha ha

My ex ex had a leo roommate and she made him kill a spider that was on some lettuce. Wrote him a nice note requesting his assistance.

I live with daddylonglegs in the corners. They kill the insects that get in. Hate all others. Freak me out.

I used to kill spiders in the house but not outside.  Then I learned to spin wool.  The first time I looked at a spider in the house after that I couldn't kill it.  

Scorpio moon and ascendant.  My daughter is in a hates spiders phase but I think she'll grow out of it.  16 yo Virgo with Scorpio ascendant, Pluto conjunct.  She just needs to face her fears and get over playing the helpless innocent.  

I absolutely detest spiders too Shell (Leo Sun too!) - we have lots of stories/teachings about them in our culture - they can make a lot of trouble, like a trickster - we're not supposed to kill them just take them outside and let them loose but if they have ignored my warnings and come inside anyway, they don't get any mercy from me.

Sure, they have a job to do and a purpose in this world like everything else, but as far as I'm concerned they can do it OUTSIDE where I leave them alone.  If I find one in my house it's an understood thing that they will rapidly receive a blast from the flyswatter and then an ignominous burial at sea (flushed down the toilet).

Bugs in general give me the serious heebie-jeebies anyway - anything with more than four legs and any antannae at all is just super-creepy.  Once I was in this fancy-schmancy restaurant in New Orleans and they brought the fabulous Cajun meal I ordered but I couldn't eat it because the shrimpies still had all their legs - had to send it back to have them removed, philistine that I am.

When I was married and my sons were growing up, I usually had someone else to carry out the death sentences, but since I've lived alone I've had to face up to my fear of them and learn to wield the ol' fly-swatter myself - still creeps me out though!

Another Leo stepping up to agree -- I hate spiders!!!!  I don't mind the daddy long-legs and teeny tiny ones, but they'd better stay outside.  Scorpions terrify me, as well as centipedes.  All the creepy crawlies.  But snakes and lizards and such -- not so much.

I can't stand spiders, but I'm not afraid of other creepy crawlies.  I've held frogs, toads, snakes, salamanders, you name it.  Nothing freaks me out except spiders, especially large ones, and even fake large ones.

My son got one of those horrible remote control tarantulas for Christmas one year.  I put it in a toy donation box.  I wasn't having that in my house, even if it was fake!
