I've heard Saturn described as a container that cuts off some options in order to focus your energy. Kind of like how the banks of a river concentrate the water contained within.

Sounds like your mom is kicking you out of the nest. Perhaps a full time job so you can be financially self-sufficient while doing art when you're not working? Lots of people do that. I know you said that's not possible, but perhaps you can find a creative way to make it happen.

One good preparation for your SR might be to ask your mom about her life, see how it is that she keeps a roof over your heads and food on the table. Chances are, she's doing some things she doesn't love at times. I don't say that to be mean, only to say that if adulthood is calling you, then it's time to stop getting your happiness at the expense of others, and "fund" your happiness yourself (both emotionally and financially).

Maybe post your chart and transits so people can see where Saturn is transiting? That might help people figure out possible good ways to make a living and also pursue art (maybe doing both at the same time, maybe separately). Good luck!

ram i'd take a look at your chart as well. i relate to your dilemma...i also think a lot about art/career matters. have you thought of teaching art or working in a gallery? there are jobs that support the creative life. i don't know what your practical needs are to make ends meet...

being an artist can be very lonely, and it can be hard on a relationship, too, but there are people who love art, who enjoy being in a relationship with an artist. i've met them:)

As to answer to Kashmiri as well I ll be more detailed:

I make creative clothes, wich is rewarding at times but there s no regular income.

In the last year I found 2 stores that are selling my production (plus I have other private clients, and I could have more if someone was helping me by the sewyng),

one of the store is runned by a drawing artist who has not followed his artistic talent and he just does it as hobby (a libra father figure),

within a year the clients were coming just for my clothes and he was so happy about it that he decided to host me in the store wich is now a laboratory, and he decided to sell just my production.

Now I never wanted this responsability and I did tell him.

This is hard on me because when the sells are slow in the store, not only I do not get money he doesn t either.

This is to say that by giving up this art project not only I will have to change my life.

Couple of thoughts come to mind in light of kashmiri's post. Working in a cloth store/craft store. You might get a discount and would be around like-minded people sort of. Or, any job at a college that has fashion design courses. That would put you around like-minded people too, and perhaps access to some studio space.

Another thought, given that this is your Saturn return. Is there a way to streamline the process of sewing the clothing, so that you can do more in less time?

It's awesome that you have patrons already. Venus in Leo in the 1st and a shitload of planets in Libra. Yeah!

Just a quick thing I see--transiting Saturn will be exiting your 2nd house--so perhaps some of these financial burdens will get lighter, there's a little bit of a bright side! Not without work though, says Saturn.

Also, considering your Saturn return is falling in the third house, you will need to market and communicate your art more efficiently. Do you want to stay with the person you are currently selling your line through? Maybe you could work to expand your line, build a more solid base with contacts and networking in your community, explore options that will help make more of your product as your clientele builds... (this is all assuming you want to continue working with the person who is selling your art)

I think I will have to get new ideas on how to go on. My mother is very moody, cancer cuppy, one day she wants me with her the other she wants to kick me out. either way it s not good for both as I see this clearly.

This person has been my saving greace and it s worth more than just a job partner.

He has been a father figure;

my real father is on the other side of the world complitely lost for himself and for his family.

I can see the limitation of this kind of partnership, but I know very well the limitation of living just for your own self/carreer and alltough I am a libra I have made my choice about not living this collaboration.

As for the 3dh house saturn: with equal houses (wich I like the most) it will happen in second house.

But my mercur is in the 3dh and yes, I am working on builtding a networking.

Bummer that the creative jobs are unavailable. On the plus side, that makes what you are doing even more unique in your area. I hope it takes off well!

I-m just struggling between scorpio and leo: forth house family against self adfirmation

the more I think about the post issue the more is clear to me that this is about me not wanting to move out by myself.

Despite the negative energy I sometimes come out with (:my mom/family doesn t like me=scorpio in the forth squaring first house self esteem), I do have self confidence (leo rising, second house sun), and I do belive I can come out of this....

but I wonder If there could be someone by my side :-)

I-m also having the strore hosting some local art show, I like to keep the people interst high on creative matters,..

I'm sorry, I meant networker as in a person who can develop business relationships with others that are mutually beneficial.

neptune=thin and meltable boundaries...how about building online partnerships with communities in other countries? also, sometimes what i do when i am feeling "stuck" be it practical or otherwise, i check out what other artists are doing...have you thought of getting into design of fabric or patterns themselves? wallpaper design? textiles?

her work is amazing...they look like paintings.  some artists take forever to get to where they feel financially secure...i know it isn't very positive to say so, but you are still relatively young in terms of the average lifespan and you seem to be on a good path, from what you've written. i hope this is encouraging for you.

pluto is still working its way through your 5th house...i'm sure there are a lot more doors that remain unopen, that can be opened to you, perhaps they will take more time than anticipated.

sometimes when things seem hard or dark you just have to look further or higher to find light.

I do find you gave me lots of good ideas....the world is full of positive attitude if you keep yourself open to recive it.

but I do have a strong scorpio mars and that also needs his space for action.
