Sun in Dhanista, Venus in Purva Bhadra (A different perspective)
posted 6 months ago in General
I know nothing about but it's interesting me, I have a weak mars too and would like to see what my vedic chart is.
Do you know a link for having a vedic chart done ?
The link is www.planetarypositions.com. You need to know if you were born during daylight savings time, the latitude/longitude of your birth place, and which Time Zone you were born in. Click on Birth Charts, which are free. I can't speak for their consulting services, as I have never gotten a reading there.
Xglop, I think you'll see a neat perspective on things. Sometimes it helps to know that terms like "weak" and "exalted" and "detriment" are all arbitrary.
saD--you crack me up, girl!

I'm very interested in Vedic Astrology as well. Sometimes people see Air signs as flighty, and a Water emphasis as being weak. I know that in my Western chart I don't have very significant aspects to Mars, not much that would really make me really assertive. I even have Mars in Pisces which is traditionally weak.
However, I have a lot of Mars in my Vedic (Indian) chart. I have Mrigasira Rising(Mars), Sun in Dhanista(Mars). My Moon in Ashwini is rather strong and male, and I also have Venus and Mars in Purva Bhadra, which is the Male Lion. This goes with my sun in Dhanista which is the Female Lion.
I notice that my Vedic chart illuminates some contrasting qualities in me. Qualities that you might not necessarily know were there, just looking at my Western chart.
I'm sure every astrologer favors a certain system, but have any of you cast your Vedic chart or noticed anything interesting in Vedic Astrology?
