Tell me which is a stronger influence? Uranus conj Asc or Pluto conj. Asc?

Uranus is in Leo in the 12th within 4 degrees of Asc.  Pluto is 5 degrees Virgo, in 1st house, actually 12 degrees away from being conjunct.

Which planet is stronger in this person's chart?  And how would it manifest itself?  Thank you for any insight!

Pluto (rising) in the 1st will give a strong first impression, but it's too far away to conjunct the Asc.  Uranus in the 12th conjunct Asc will be visible to the outside world, but mostly hidden from the chartholder.

Other than that, I really can't say.  :)

    PS:
In case I've never said it before... Welcome, Martini!

Thanks SaDiablo!  I used to frequent the sasstrology boards.  Glad Elsa was kind enough to host for us here! LOL

So if Pluto is rising, does that mean the person will be rather Scorpionic, and deal with Plutonic issues (destruction, rebirth, etc.)  He's got a real poker face, and is very intense, he may be a double Aquarian, with tons of Cap, but he has dealt with heavy stuff in his life (many, many deaths in family and of friends) certainly a lot more than I have.  But he takes it on the chin, and is a gentle soul.

To my understanding, it means that he will present as Scorpionic, but not that he will necessarily have an abundance of Scorpionic/Plutonian issues.  We've got a lot of people with Pluto in the first and/or Scorpio rising, so hopefully they'll see this and let me know if I've got it wrong!  ;P

As I use Orbs / Moiety..... I don't count my natal Uranus (it's 9-degrees Virgo) as being conjunct my Ascendant (it's 14-degrees Virgo). But since that's awfully close , sometimes I can feel it.

Now my natal Pluto on the other hand (13-degrees Virgo)..... it can get carried away quite easily , with my Saggie Mars in the "shotgun seat".

@Glenn, since I've started using planetary orbs/moiety myself, I've taken up Donna Cunningham's view of a 10° orb for the angles.  I know it's not strictly kosher, but it seems to work -- especially since the angles are important (if non-corporeal) points!
