Think about how the Scorpio stage is about death and transformation.

It is the same thing with the life stages of a butterfly. The butterfly's life goes in 4 stages.

1. The egg

2. Then becomes the caterpillar

3. Then becomes Chrysalis

4  And finally the imago stage (the butterfly gets out of the chrysalis, this is the final stage of development for an insect).

Look at all that TRANSFORMATION!

The chrysalis of the butterfly is just dead skin and means nothing anymore. The butterfly is now staring at its old self (the chrysalis) to say goodbye and now is stronger than ever out of its chrysalis and ready to take off and fly.

So do you agree with me that a butterfly is a good symbol for Scorpio? Or is it too "beautiful" or not "tough" enough for the sign of Scorpio.

I disagree. I dont see butterfly in scorpio. 

I see butterfly in any human who chooses to undergo transformation by whatever means.  I see scorpio as one of many "means". 

Your analogy on the surface is right on, but it just doesnt resonate with my scorpio (moon conjunct mars 4th) unless it is an ends to the means.
