The house a planet is currently in or approaching
posted 6 months ago in Ask For Astrology-Based Advice
If I'm looking at a particular transit, I go to astro.com and they have a way you can pull transit charts there. (There's a how-to for astro.com basics on the blog here.) It shows the transiting planets on the outside of the chart so you can see where they line up.
Let me see if I can make this work (edit to add, it's a bit wide but you can still see what I'm talking about)

See around the outside the green glyphs? Those are transiting planets.
Rose, if you look at Shannons chart you can see that transitting Mars (green) is in her first house, Venus and the Moon are transiting her second house, the Sun is transitting the third and so on. When one of the transiting planets (in green) starts lining up with one of the natal planets on the chart, that's a conjunction. So, for example, transiting Mercury is now at 21' Virgo, approaching a conjunction with natal Pluto at 29' Virgo.
Luci - yeah, I had an old one handy so I used that.
SaD - That was the October crush - you should see the current one. It hits 2-5-8-11 for me, and I've got a T square in 2-5-8 that pulls in Jupiter, Uranus, Mars and waves at Venus and Pluto going by.

The Moon is going into conjunction with Mars "in your seventh house"?When a planet moves, goes into an angle, or goes retrograde, How do you know what house in your birth chart it's in? Do you progress your chart? How do you do that? Do you match today's horoscope right over your birth chart?
