Thru the grapevine.....the government is supposedly going to make an announcement & admission on UFO presence. They're going to open the files and spill the beans. No doubt they've been covering this up for decades. How do you think  people are going to take it? Freak? Run for the hills? Another War Of The Worlds type hysteria? 

Me? I'm going to pop that very expensive bottle of champagne and party like it's 2009! 

What if they admit that there is no UFO's?

They HAVE kept it secret for decades.

Not sure on people's reactions - it may be that they've decided to release it now because they know people are distracted by the ongoing economic collapse.  I'm sure the timing is no accident.

I think its gonna be a real let down.  Just a few crumbs of information. Not the dramatic first contact everyone has been dreaming of.

A few ways it could be released...

Yes, we've seen UFOs and we don't know what they are. (like many other countries' disclosures)

Yes, we've seen UFOs and we've met with their inhabitants and they are aliens. (very unlikely)

No, UFOs are man-made or don't exist. (status quo)

The second one would be the freak-out and is really quite unlikely, unless by fundamental change Obama meant co-existence with aliens which I would not have seen coming. I honestly expect the first one because the British files and others haven't had a huge impact on the public because the public doesn't really care that much about the government saying: "We don't know. Here's what we have reports on." However since the United States has said it has not been actively studying UFO cases since Blue Book it's really make them look bad if they had a bunch of newer reports...

I think it's going to be a let down, personally. Call me jaded.

I never think abt UFO's yet I know others who are really into it. And a former teacher of mine even claimed to have almost been abducted--

I think a few psychics have predicted around this time that aliens would be coming out of the closet so to speak.  Not that I believe all psychics, but I do believe select few have the gift.

yes, or thet will say. yes there are ufo's, and we can confirm alien life, and guess what, they are amoung us. this is closer to the truth... when is this announcement being made?

I believe the US may release some files much like other countries have done recently.  I don't know if we'll ever have a press release from the US government saying "Aliens are Here!"   The US has had a "shot 'em down" policy since the 40s. 

I think the reaction in the US population will be mostly a defensive one, with a "It's our planet" message.   But then, I live in Red Neck USA.

On a personal level, it was interesting that you brought this subject up the morning after I'd dreamt about seeing a huge UFO.  I'd not had this dream before.  I do occasionally dream things before they happen, like airplanes flying into tall buildings, etc.

Omie it was in England. I was driving on the freeway or whatever they call them there with my boyfriend at the time and his parents. It was night time and we noticed these red lights, three of them -  scooting across the sky like nothing. They would dance around with each other and then form a perfect V formation in the middle of the sky and then dart back into the far horizons again (each to their own horizon section) and then do it over again. It was the damndest thing. The speed was just astonishing.

Last night I was watching the UFO show on the History Channel, and they were talking about how France has opened their government files on UFOs. 

Part of their new transparency in government policy. It didn't make much difference at all. Either you believe in them or not, I guess.

We might have more interesting UFO cases here tho :) 

Dorothy--I think America would act like that.

Russia and China will welcome their new alien overlords. Europe will admit them to the EU in 2089.  India will offer garbled explanations to Russia and China about how their new technology works.  Africa, unfortunately, will still starve no matter what.

This whole disclosure thing is suppose to go down between Christmas and New Years. i got it off a esoteric site which has an amazing prediction rate. If you go to YOUTUBE and type in UFO disclosure you can tip toe thru the stuff and pick and choose. Needless to say there is some BS in there but also some pretty impressive stuff as well.

I've believed they exist for some years now. They could have either destroyed us or enslaved us at any time, but they haven't. Or maybe it is something more subtle than an out-and-out conquest. Like, maybe they've been inhabiting politicians for the past 40 years or so. :-D

I too feel they won't come clean with all the information they have. After all these years of people talking about there experiences, it won't shock me.

Glad though for those who have had real and truthful experiences with UFO/Alien's to finally be confirmed by those who have dismissed them for far too long.

I have had only one UFO experience and it was a whopper. I knew I was seeing it because the guy driving in front of me pullled over on the side of the road, (it was nightime) to sit and stare at it. We both confirmed to each other that it was not of this world. There were lots of UFO sightings at this time (1976 in the Shenandoah Valley, Va). WHen I got back home that night I was bouncing off the walls and telling everyone what I saw, they just ho hummed and said, "yeah, we've seen them too." They weren't blowing me off, they meant it. I later got a story from a retired vet and his wife and daughter who told of one landing in a large field behind their house. They went out the next morning and saw the burn marks from where the thing landed. So, thank God I was in like minded company.  

I know they are out there and I can't wait for them to show themselves. Stay tuned, this is going to be FUN! BUT the Republicans are going to F R E A K!
