I am new to this blog and was hoping someone could help me out. I'm here to learn, so if I say something that is incorrect please don't take it the wrong way.I am a Sag Sun, Pisces Rising, Aries Moon. Some people ask for the whole chart, so I've included what I can. I seem to be at most confrontation with the placement of Venus in Scorpio. I have a lot of Sag in me, which I thought would make me more lighthearted, positive, and easy to move on after a relationship, but it hasn't served me well at all. I may be with someone for a short time, but when we break up, it takes me longer to get over them than when we were together. The intensity and hard falls from this placement has lead me to be single for years. When I find someone who is potential relationship material, I keep myself at a distance or get afriad.  It's not just fear of a broken heart, but of how long it takes to get over it and how much it seems to hurt while going through it. It is hard to let go. Could anyone tell me if there is something hopeful or redeeming about Venus in Scorpio, or is there something in my chart I can draw on to help give me some hope? I have sought help from friends and they tell me that I'm not jealous or posseive. The last guy I was with was a Sag too, and he even told he liked the fact that I gave him his space. I've only asked for respect and fidelity, but I haven't been abusive, cruel, or secretive about my life like this placement suggests. We bickered a bit, but that was usually over our Sag bluntness, but I was always open to communicate. He would close up and run away.    Any insight or explaination is HIGHLY valued. I would like to thank anyone who reads this and is nice enough to answer.

I also have venus in scorpio.  The two longest relationships I have had were with other venus in scorpios. We just get each other.

Scorpio possesses a natural resiliency, ability to rise from the ashes and all that.  Don't let yourself be paralyzed by fear.  Scorpio has powerful venom, the last thing you want to do is turn it on yourself out of resentment.  Rise above your fear.

    Hi Namuh,

I don't have much to offer in regards to Scorpio Venus but your sincere desire for relationship really comes through your post....so does your fear. My impression is to look at Saturn/Moon as well. Posting your chart might also get more responses. You can go to astro.com and have a chart drawn up for free and post using these guidelines. I wish you the best.

edit: darn: this is not coming in as a link. If you copy and paste it into your address bar it will get you there.

edit again: When i say "look at Saturn/Moon as well", I mean if the Venus info is not matching up to your experience, Saturn/Moon may be the next place to look for insight.

namuh- My ONLY relationship was with a Scorpio Venus and it was because of all of those wonderful/dreadful things you described. I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong with mourning the loss of a relationship or even the relationship potential if that makes sense. I know there is a lot in our culture that stresses moving on quickly and being this bouncy, happy thing all the time. Just be you. Whatever that may be.

You mention the redeeming qualities of having Venus in Scorpio and I think they are all there in your post...because it seems like you really value the relationship itself, which is why you might be hesitant to begin one in the first place.

Namuh - I can relate and I don't know if having your venus in scorpio is what is causing your issue. I'm a sag with an aries moon and cancer rising, except my venus is also in sag. I broke up with my ex (whose venus was in scorpio oddly) in May and 8 months later I'm still single. It's not that I've been short of suitors or prospects, it's that I fell, and fell HARD, for this ex. I tend to do this with anybody I fall for - I point my finger at the aries placement. I crush and crush hard and have even had one night liaisons that have effected me months later. Yep...one night and I have paintings inspired by how moved I was. Ha. Sounds ultra romantic but I do pine...and I do feel the depths of pain be it a perceived betrayal, ego trip, or just bad timing...I feel it deeply. I'm 5 planets in sag, and only scorpio I have is in jupiter. So, like the others are saying maybe it's the moon or a hard aspect between your moon and saturn!

My saturn(libra) is opposite my moon (aries) and this challenges any form of intimacy I have with people. Good luck on your journey honey - relationships take courage.

    Namuh,

Would u marry me? ..too bad u r a girl, if not I'd love to get to know u better..hehehe

I'm also a Sag sun, Pisces rising but moon in Gemini. My Venus is also in Scorpio...If I'm not mistaken, u were born in the year of the pig (1983). There were so many ups and downs. It seems so hard to find a true love. I think it might be something to do with my Venus in Scorpio...

I want to thank all that answered. I appreciate the kind words of support. I have been looking into my chart and trying to understand more. I guess I've always had a bit of a love/hate thing for my Scorpio placement because of all the water signs I could have gotten, I feel like I got the one that everybody is afraid of. But, it is what it is.
Moon, stars, and charts aside, I guess there is just a fundamental belief that positive thoughts will bring it back to us. I guess that I just have to believe that the good thing is on its way. Slipped in a little Sag optimism.
Please feel free to keep responding with answers; I would love to know more.
A shout out to Ms_East: I was born in the year of the pig. Is that your real chart? It seems almost identical to mine. What's it like being you?
