I don't know how the thread on wooing morphed into what it. I wonder if people who go for jarring relationships have Venus and Mars in harsh aspect or something along those lines.

I have Venus in Leo (courting) is sextile Mars in Libra (manners ). I don't care what era I was born in, you better have some decorum or you haven't got a chance.

I don't believe that a woman like me would go wanting for a date in this era anymore then I did in my era.

When it comes to romance, what does your chart tell?

I have the Venus Mars conjunction. I like romance.  My husband has his Venus and Mars on two ends of a four planet stellium in Libra. He's romantic, for a SAG.

We have a very easy going relationship.

I definitely like excitement. I have Venus in Aries sextile Moon Mars in Gemini. I also have Libra Rising and Venus is in my 7th house, so there has to be decorum or I freak. Jupiter and Uranus are involved as well so I suppose there has to be some independence involved. I am a nurturing type to a certain degree, but he can't be waiting at home for me, crying into his soup 'cause I'm busy, lol.

I have a semi-sextile Venus in Gemini and Mars in Cancer.

I am attracted to a relationship with banter and light fun that teaches me something (Venus conjunct Jupiter) but also makes me feel attached (opp. Moon), and is different from me (qx Saturn, Pluto, Neptune) but if you want to attract me as a person I like guys who are gentle and sweet and little bit reserved. A man who cooks is also lovely to me! I also like men who are more passionate in nature than me or different somehow, like I said. I like relationships that do change me (Mars trine Pluto). But I always somewhat uncomfortable (Mars opp. Saturn/Neptune).

I have Venus in Leo too.  I have to feel good about myself, and have to/need to/want to, have an attractive partner, and one that I can feel proud of.  I also have Eros in Gemini, and that evidentally means that a man should talk to me a lot.

So with that said, to woo me, you have to give me a lot of attention, look good and talk to me a lot....

It sounds terrible, doesn't it!!!  lol

I have Venus in Leo trine Mars in Sagitarrius. I've never had difficulty meeting men or forming relationships with them.

I have Mars-Venus-Pluto all conjunct and, honestly, I don't care about decorum or romance.  I can sense the motives behind things (even if I'm trying to fool myself) and if the motive ain't right, ain't nothing right!  :)  I prize honesty, even brutal honesty, and depth over anything else.

Venus in Scorp sextile Mars in Virgo.  Um, yea.  Don't let the Virgo placement fool you.  It just means you'd better be smart, honest and practical. Overdoing the romance doesn't work for me at all. 

Like Egiy, I have venus in gemini & mars in cancer.  They are 37 degrees apart.  I do however have cappy ruling my dsc and if you don't have manners or decorum, then you can expect my "icy side" in return.  Otherwise, I really don't know what venus & mars are saying (inregards to each other anyway)

Mars / Saturn opp Venus / Sun. What I want sexually isn't always good for me emotionally, and vice versa - always been a problem! And there's often quite an age difference in my sexual relationships, things have tended to be.... jarring, yes

We encourage the other, we know that integrity means humility, willingness to accept other people's quirks and differences.

My Venus is in Leo. My Mars is also in Leo, not conjunct Venus but conjunct my Moon. All three are in my 9th house with Venus on my MC, trine Neptune. I seek men who can teach me something, stretch me, it makes me feel bigger, expanded.

Neptune blurred all that in my 20 year marriage but I'm starting to figure it out. And Pluto in cap is teaching me :) not to mention Saturn having danced all over my Pluto while opposing my chart ruler and squaring my jup in cap.

I have my Mars-Venus conjunction in my 7H of Gemini. It's trine Uranus in Libra 10H. Neither of these are on the angles, I've got other planets doing that. ;)

I also have my Sun in Taurus in 5H. Did someone say "romance"? To me, romance is not about what you give me materially. In romance for me it's about what we give to each other, how/who you are when you are with me, in sync, with love, working as a whole toward a common goal.

Venus conjunct Pluto trine Mars who is trined by Pluto.All favorable aspects, and they work pretty well together.They're all water so I'm all about the emotion.I'm not into decorum because the decorum can also be a form of a veil.I want what's behind the decorum/veil and I want to find out what's there as soon as possible, because I don't want to waste my time with someone who can't match my depth of emotion/thought. I want depth in a person,substance.

And someone who can make me laugh and with whom I can talk (Gemini Moon).

My chart is pretty spot on. I was born to have the relationship upsets that I have had. I'm supposed to learn something...

Venus in Aries, Mars in Sag which means I attract people easily and find partners easily, especially those of another culture. And yes, they are very sporty and smiley and like to fight. I don't per the rest of my chart, but thankfully they help me muster up some gumption so I can fight for dear life, here's why:

what isn't so clear is that the "ease" isn't a positive feature - Mars-Uranus and inconjuncts my Moon while Venus aspects Saturn and inconjuncts Pluto and squares Neptune.

So yes, I attract people whose ideas of romance is seemingly romantic...well it is, if you consider being ambushed, dragged into his lair, then find yourself with someone abusive and trying to exert total control over your life (because it's part of his plans for total dominance) and trying to break you is your idea of romance. And if you try to leave, they chase harder than when they started because now you can tell on them. Arg. Luckily, I'm fast. Phew.

I have Venus and Mars sextile so I need some decorum involved when it comes to romance.  The problems is that they are in fire  and air signs when I am a Pisces so I had to learn, (gemini) what my heart, (aries) needed.  Thiese two planets used to mean I would get involved with fire signs a lot but that has stopped and I got together with the very best Virgo, (VA) who has just enough fire and air too.

I have Venus in Leo and Mars in Virgo, so yes the GENUINE royal treatment is wanted (court me, wooo me!!) but NO casual sex or one night stands for me. Security AND spontaneity rule me here. Tough combo.

I'm blunt in my approach, mostly I think because I've learned I have to be. *sigh* I'm a handful if I leave someone on their own to "figure me out"....or so I've been told many, many times. It used to hurt and make me feel misunderstood in my younger years.

I'm also not a real big cuddler, either. Close, yes, sure - suffocating cuddling, no. The things I like sexually and the things I like romantically are very, very different. Romantically, I'm passionate but sexually I move slowly - carefully.

I have Venus in Leo trine Mars in Aries. It's a wide trine almost 7 degrees but I feel it because Mars is conjunct Jupiter and Jupiter is almost exactly trine Venus. Venus is also widely conjunct my Ascendant, which I also feel, because all things Venusian have had inordinate importance in my life.

A fiery Venus in Pisces house has meant I have never had trouble drawing in men, but I did have a ton of trouble understanding how much I was attracting them. I had to really get a clue about this when I got married because it infuriates my husband (his Mars in Taurus is very possessive). The attention I get can also gross him out (Venus in Aquarius). I don't dress provocatively, btw. I just have this really stereotypically feminine look and body and there's pretty much nothing I can do to stop attention. If anything, I look kind of old-fashioned, I think.

As for what I need -- attention and praise. But I also need space to break away and roam. My Aquarius moon is opposite Venus. Neptune conjunct Sag NN likes to drift and roam.

Good manners are a given for a Virgo rising and really do provide me with a feeling of stability and structure and decency -- I have outer planets in Libra.

I have both Venus and Mars in Virgo (no aspects between them, though) and all I want from someone is to affirm that I am indeed not what I'm always fearing that I am/I'll become. Tell me that I'm just fine the way I am, and I'll get out of your hair with the fretting about how abnormal I feel on some days. Show me that you love me through your actions, and I'll gladly do the same. Concrete evidence is the name of the game.

I attract guys with just about any kind of Scorpio personal planet placement under the sun. Usually I get the ones with Mars in Scorpio that I can't peel myself away from, then the Scorpio suns that end up being crazy, and most recently I fished up a sweet Virgo with Venus in Scorpio. The only bad thing is that they usually don't last long....

Mars is in Virgo in my 12th house. I have  Venus in Asc (Libra), I love excitement and passion. Need a guy to be full of surprises and keep me on my toes. I catch myself dreaming a lot...I want an exotic man...candlelit dinners on a tropical island...like I said before "dreamy" lol.

I like my men strong, courageous, loving, masculine. I guess that's how my venus-mars plays out.

I also have no trouble attracting the opposite sex. This is my humble assessment of the past several years. Hehehe.

I got stuck with a Venus in Scorpio, *sigh*.

Seriously, why was I just not born with feet on my head and eyeballs on my ass? FFS.

I have mars and venus in virgo, and they make lots of aspects. I like someone  intelligent, deep and in control. I've never really cared too much about romance or big romantic gestures, but I want passion between us. I need to feel desired and wanted, and be with someone who manages to stir my emotions. My 8th house moon wants deep emotional attachments but with uranus aspects there also needs to be space, and room for spontaneity.

I don't know how to answer this. I think the men I'm attracted to don't exist in reality.

I like the men that are alpha males, bold of personality and a typical "man's man"; but if it's just aggressive arrogance, forget it. Hee has to have kindness and compassion in him, and be able to see emotion as a strength rather than a weakness. Humor and playfulness go a long way, as does witty flirting; I love intelligent banter when it comes to courting.

Sun Pisces/Venus Pisces/Mars Aries, all conjunct in the 8th.

Men with Aries flavored Venus seems to appeal to me, especially if they have a mix of water and fire like I do.

I have Venus in Aries and Mars in Libra, unaspected. Hmm, that might explain a few things....

I dated a man that also had his Venus/Mars in Gemini unaspected, and we seemed to know what we wanted--each other. ; )

But it's like a seesaw sometimes, so I look more to my houses 12th and 6th, and to my Sun/Moon, and DC to determine needs and wants and create a fuller picture. I know what I need and want, it just took me longer than some to figure it all out, and be okay with it.

I have venus/mars in Aquarius in the 7th...squaring Pluto.. I am intensely romantic and I appreciate little gestures. I notice I am often attracted to Leo/Virgo combos, tall dark-haired men, baby faces, and scientists.

My Venus and Mars make no aspects between each other. Venus' only major aspect is a 1 degree conjunction with Uranus, in the 10th house, Sagittarius. My 9th House Libra Mars makes a few aspects, a sextile to each Jupiter and Neptune (at 1 and 0 degrees, respectively) and a 2 degree conjunction with my Scorpio Pluto.

I'm not romantic at all. I don't expect romance. It makes me a little uncomfortable. I was squicked out kissing my husband on my wedding day in front of our families. I expect partnership for there to be a physical relationship (Mars in Libra), but outside of that, I want nothing but a good time, all the time. And if you bore me, you're gone.
