Visible Pluto?! Yay-ee!

Ask me something simple.
The day Pluto was conj my DSC I was 15. Transiting Uranus was conj my vesta. Saturn/Juno was conj opposite mars. t. Jupiter was conj n. saturn. Plus I was having a mercury return during a merc rx period.
The day Pluto was conj my DSC exact, my very first boyfriend asked me to go steady. I guess I got noticed.
I'm not sure how to answer. 12th house Sun was, and still is, horrified by the experience.
My Moon and Chiron was involved. Having your wound publicly displayed by an encounter with a negative Plutonian was uh.... horrifying.
Yeah, transiting Pluto in the house of open enemies. It was way worse than dying. Not bitter. Just say'n.
Pluto Transits Opposition Ascendant ( or conjunct Desc). This seems to be more connected to the "other". An EE link

From Cafe Astrology:
*Very important people come into your life now. You meet someone who becomes a strong influence on you. This other person may be a kind of idol, a teacher, or a friend.
+Your relationships (partnerships, lovers) are now very intense and ever so personal. In fact, they are capable of transforming you at the most basic level. A time of real inner growth through other people, the social life.

Okay, this kinda blew my brain open in a good way...
On the "Trends in the Collective" blog today, Elsa said in the comments, "... you become more visible when Saturn crosses the descendent and enters the 7th house." (We're talking about transiting Saturn, just so no one is lost. *smiles*)
Now here's my theory:
In the upcoming years (I think it'll take about 12), Pluto will finally be crossing my descendant. Natally, he's living right at the base of my chart (firmly in mid-4th Placidus, which is my preference, but 2° from my IC in the 3rd in Equal).
So, have I been living so far gathering power and learning about it, and when Pluto crosses my descendant that's going to recognized? Am I getting this right?
To people who have had t. Pluto over Dsc -- did you become known as a force to be reckoned with amongst your group during or after this transit?
