I got "innovative" in the quiz at that link.

Moon in Gemini trine Uranus, sq Jupiter, sextile Saturn.

I rarely use recipes & if I do I use it as a suggestion haha & mess around with it a lot. But there are some family recipes that I follow to the letter.

that quiz was too short! i was (c) which is laughable considering I'm eating instant noodles tonight for dinner.

I can make a good meal out of whatever is lying around. What's the astrology of cooking, anyway? Where in the chart does THAT appear?

"What's the astrology of cooking, anyway?"

The Moon rules food and cooking

Leo moon. Maybe that's why I'm so bold about it. "Meh, we've got this and this. That'll work."

    I got innovative.

I've got Sag moon. I don't really like cooking, but I like to watch others cook. I'll eat anything at least once. But the food needs to look good and FEEL good. Texture is key.

I got mostly A's & D's So Giving and Competitive, which is fairly accurate in life.

When it comes to food though I usually prepare a diverse range of stuff with lots of flavour and colour (because otherwise I get bored with the flavours and textures - Not agaaaaaain I just ate this last month . .) and I rarely cook just for myself (because when I cook I often get bored with food before I get around to eating it - I've been cooking this for hoooooooooouuuuuuuuuurrrrssss, and I really effin' hate the dishes, which means it is just easier and more practical to eat insta-food or something someone else made).

I've never felt competitive about cooking, though I'd kick your ass if you thought you could sit at my table and complain about it. And while it's true I never watch the calories, I am pretty health concious. If I can add more vegetables I will, I don't even own salt, the only oil I own is olive, and I bake or boil instead of fry anytime I can, and I'm a big fan of anything that can half its fat content without adding fake crap. I would sacrifice (to a degree) flavour for health.

My moon is in Virgo (so I have to feel like the food I'm serving is healthy). Its square Neptune which is probably why I get so tired when cooking (I have literally cooke dentire meals and then put them in the firdge without eating a bite cause zzzzzzzzzzzz Plus y'know I was cooking the chicken a la king and then I started thinking about fajitas and the chicken ala king is just not going to live up to the dream fajitas . .) ,  but I do love food and eating (trine my sun/mercury),

Oh! p.s. About Moon s. Neptune? Its a family trait, and the booze/food stories I could tell ya .. We never sat down to a holiday meal on time. Or any meal on time.  If we even sat down.

I just learned today that my chart ruler is the moon! Maybe that's why I Love food and cooking so much. Really, eating and cooking make me feel alive! I haven't done the test, but I'll probably be a c too, if that's healthy. Food has to be tasty (first), but also healthy. No junk in my kitchen. (Guess what I am a virgo with saturn in virgo :-))

I am a mix of healthy and innovative :-). But no, I hardly ever compromise taste for health. It's gotta taste goooood (without added sugar :-))

You know what's funny, I turned on my computer to find a recipe for dinner (of all things), and now I am stumbling across all these Moon blogs.

I also got innovative, and my moon aspects have a similar feel to yours, Jilly.  I have the moon in Gemini opposite Uranus and trine Jupiter.  I guess we can't help ourselves; boring food just will not fly!

My moon is Aries in the 4th, I love to cook for my family and friends. For me it's something fun to do. My moon sits right next to the cusp of my 5th house. For me if things are not triggering that fun and creative side, I get bored and find something else to do. It's amazing what I will come up with.

I learned at a young age that you either figure it out or you starve, I learn quickly! LOL I'm the oldest of 7 kids.  I actually taught a lot of them how to cook as well. By the way I'm a cancer sun.

(and often I don't know how something will turn out until it is finished :P )

Moon in Gemini... I either think up my own recipes by imagining the flavour combinations in my head... or I cook from a recipe but always change at least 2 or 3 of the ingredients... I don't think I have ever cooked or baked something exactly the way it was written. I enjoy cooking but I tend to make a hell of a mess in the kitchen while I am doing it.

I also tend to go for things that don't require a really long prep time.. or I just get bored.

I suppose my Pisces moon explains my vegetarianism.  Compassionate and sensitive to suffering, right?  I call Thanksgiving "Genocide Day."
