My Venus tends to be impulsive and I've taken many years to control it and therapy...  I  started out with so many artistic and emotional reactions that I made messes. I am happy now that it does not control me as much!

In your opinion, what is your  Venus placement's biggest issue?  How  has your Venus and it's aspects and placement affected your  life in a negative way?

VA is so funny!  Well, my Venus squares Saturn so that's not fun but I just recently realized that it's also conjunct Neptune on the IC.  So I have TWO doozies!  Venus/Neptune/IC and Venus/Saturn.  There's probably a comedy sketch in there.

i need love and beauty to be big and showy, but also regulated and under strict rules/values.  and there must always always always be balance between he and i, masculine/feminine, gentle and forcefull...

the negative connotations that go along with this?  i'm either all in, or not at all..  no in between..

Libra Venus in the 7th square Cap Saturn.........never good enough, in my own eyes....self-isolating, feeling separate from whatever "group" is around....that's the bad part....the good part is self-sufficiency and the ability to form long-term relationships.

I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking it'd be one of three aspects, venus conjunct saturn, venus square pluto or venus on my 12th house cusp.  My venus/saturn conjunction I unaware of for the early part of my life, so it was a hinderance only due lack of knowledge.  I'm more learning to work with it now, so I understand it and it's more manageable.  As for being on my 12th cusp, my sun is also in my 12th, so working with that neptune energy is something I've done all my life.  So I guess my venus/pluto, but maybe not, with pluto in aspect to so much in my chart, I've been dealing with that all my life as well.  Maybe it's that venus doesn't make any aspect to my sun, moon/jupiter, or merc/mars,

Venus in Libra - 4th - conjunct Moon...you tell me!

I like romance and things to be of a certain 'standard'...perhaps too much of a perfectionist at times!

I have gotten much more accepting over the years, and I see beauty in all and everyone now.

When I was younger it was the square to mars, but I've progressed out of that.

My mom used to tell me I looked "dyke-y" every time I left the house. Thanks mom. That's my style.

Now I guess its the uranus conjunction and resisting the urge to upend the table or rip all my clothes off and run down the street just for funzies.

    haha Caroline!   LOL

I just recently realized my Lil Venus is nestled in my dark self undoing 12th house. !

Im not happy about that so much. As I realize why Im never satisfied, I realize why "I" hate being chased (sufforcated), and always falling in love with someone that I cannot have. So I am left pinning, lonely and broken hearted.

However on the positive side- I have a deep love for the collective. I care deeply about everyone else, including strangers. I worry about people, including homeless ones I see on the street. Im bothered greatly by others suffering. I wish to God that there was something I could do to to make it just a little better. Even if its buying a .99 cent burger for the guy or baglady on the corner. Or giving the Elderly lady my umbrella when she is standing in the 100 degree heat at the bus stop!

    Anyways,

Le sigh, I'd say my sometimes intercepted 12th house Venus in Aries, opposite Saturn in Libra rx, and Pluto has been, and very well might be a life long battle that I'm already worn out from fighting.

With the interception, theoretically, my environment is not designed to provide me with viable partners--check. Venus in Aries is detrimental energy, but in my case, it's not that bad, as with Taurus rising, I don't chase, ever. I do seem to attract quite a few idiotic young boys into my sphere that remind me of the negative side of Aries, and I just bring out my rather sharp ancient sword and run them straight thru so we don't have to wonder at what my intentions were later on. hehe.

But I tend to attract, loud, stupid, boorish, young, unintelligent, unattractive, pushy, overly aggressive boys into my sphere most of the time. It's the rare one's like the departed one, that display the positive traits of not being afraid of me, or my intensity. And who see courting me, as a kind of possibly dangerous, but definitely worth the trouble high stakes game because, he actually *liked* my fiery self. He was also very male, but cuddly too.

With Saturn rx, that's it's own worst nightmare. But with an opposition to Venus it slooows things waaay down in my love life. Supposedly, it will take me at-least one Saturn Return to figure out what I want, and to find it. Love takes time and patience, and Venus in Aries, and my Taurus ruled body are fresh out of it sometimes. The Pluto opposition isn't that difficult, I just have to remember not to act on any negative feelings of jealousy, possessiveness, or anger.

The most difficult part of having Venus in Aries H12? Living with it, and without love.

I actually had to think hard about this, cause Venus in detriment seemed too easy.Up until now I didn't realise I had Venus problems. Then it hit me

    The square to my ascendant.

I feel uncomfortable seducing.I feel uncomfortable when polishing(Venus) my presence(ASC) because of some guy.I do it anyways, because I want to look my best, but the idea of someone thinking "oh she made herself pretty for him,she likes him" makes me uneasy.

I don't like this post.I'm unable to convey my thoughts properly today.:/

My Venus is in Aries in the 6th House.  It is trine Uranus/North Node/MC in the 10th (Leo).  I've a happy, albeit sometimes selfish (Aries) Venus.  I guess it can also be a bit impulsive (Uranus) and full of drama (Leo), but heck, if you have a front row seat (10th) you just might enjoy a beautiful show! ;-)

Venus conjunct Neptune..... if my Virgo energies weren't so cautious , I'd probably be down at the corner girlie clubs every waking minute drooling over the women.... "fantasizing" what life would be like with each one.

Venus/Neptune trine Moon.... sucks having ruler of my Moon being off in "La-La Land".... absolutely no logical support for my poor Moons needs. Kinda like this:

"Ma.... this man says I can make rent money down at the corner store."

    "Which one , dear?"

    "Pink Pussy Cat."

"Ok.... go have fun , dear."

I find that it's a blessing and a curse. On one side I can cut off relationships easily when they are not working. On the other, I find it incredibly difficult to open up to people and become truly intimate with them (even though this is something I long for). It's much easier for me to tease the one I like than express how much I care for them.

Venus in libra making a t-square from 12th house with opposition to moon and square to neptune. It's a nerve-wracking position I'd say. Though venus feels good in piscean house, that's still a t-square. Plus is that it's a perfect thing for one to one communications with the partner.

I have venus in aquarius, conjunct saturn in the 9th house. The biggest issue there is definitely freedom vs. stability. Part of me wants to casually date, flirt with randoms, travel to other countries, go clubbing, etc. Then there's another part that feels like all that is frivolous and by having all this "fun," i'm distracting myself from having a solid relationship and preparing for the future...ughhh...gotta love that saturn! :)

Venus, Gemini, 7th House. "Should I stay or should I go now?" ... Opposite Sag Neptune/ASC "Because everything I say is everything you've ever wanted to hear, so you drop all your defenses and you drop all your fears."

So I've got the duality of wanting a big, sloppy, spiritually connected relationship but also needing a certain level of freedom. I can look back and see where these placements have caused confusion, difficulty relying on my instincts and, ultimately, failed relationships.

Committing is a layered process for me, and it takes a while to reach 100 percent. Unfortunately, many of my past partners have shortcutted this process by lying. The ones that have gotten closest to me all proved to be big frauds. If I sense a stronger energy connection, this ups the ante for me and makes me prone to getting lost in this intimacy "fog."

The funny thing, as I think about it now, the most notorious have lied to me to rope me in or keep me around. Hmm ... maybe even when I'm all in, I'm still projecting a "one-foot-out-the-door" vibe. That or their insecurity is just getting projected on me, it can go either way!

Flip-side, positive and negative, is that often men seem to think I'm their dream-girl. I've had men call me both dangerous (Maybe my Venus Sextile to Lilith contributing?) and perfect (shudder) so I feel like I'm spending a ton of time interjecting reality and pissing on parades. It's for their, and my, own good that I do!

This is so true for me. :\

As for the one foot in and one foot out, I think people take wanting to have my own life and own personality continue on during a relationship = only half wanting to be there. And then they try to rope me in as you say, but that just makes it so much worse. And that ends up being the thing to drive me away, rather than them as a person. I need someone to give me the freedom or else I cannot stick around.

I'd have to second Sue Ellen's Venus in Aquarius aloofness... For me, it's like an icy brick wall.

Aqua Venus square Scorp Uranus/IC has me tending to avoid relationships on a physical plane, living them instead as fantasies or mental distractions. My Venus is also trine Pluto, sextile Neptune and conjunct Moon/Merc, so it's especially hard for me to ignore what I'm missing. Stubborn/Fixed to a fault, though, it doesn't seem likely to change.

Amen, egiyablu! Your comment "It's much easier for me to tease the one I like than express how much I care for them." really resonated with me. I've gotten much better at expressing myself (big lesson of my Saturn return) but sometimes it would just be BETTER if I did just tease them instead, lol.

My virgo venus is at odds with my aqua moon. I want stability, but my moon keeps them at a distance, when all i want is serious commitment. As soon as i start to fall in love, i push them away. I guess i just *have* to be independant. I've also got venus square saturn, so i think taking things slow in love, to find my independance, might reward me with the most stable love of my life. Because really, i won't settle for anything less than the most stable ROCK SOLID love of my life. TRUST is a HUGE issue for me.

    @catfishmiss

I have Merc and Saturn retro which doesn't help much. :\ And Merc Qx Uranus isn't helpful either.

I *always* show interest by teasing someone. I don't know the boundary between what is acceptable when I'm trying to show interest so I usually went too far and that caused me a lot of pain so I quit doing that and now I'm too reserved when it comes to what I actually feel. It sucks because I end up in the friends zone time after time and watch them fall for someone else and I just end up giving up right then and never say a thing to them and just try to get over it on my own and pretend like nothing is wrong.

Definitely sucks because I think my heart would be less troubled if I could just spit it out and move on if they weren't interested at all.

I swear I can talk about anything under the sun except my feelings. :) Silly Gemini!

((hugs)) egiyablu I know this struggle all too well. In my life I've learned the silence tends to blow it up to a BIG THING (8th Jupiter con Merc) so, I recently I laid it out to a guy that I was developing stronger feelings and having a hard time with him dating others -- Scorpio moon was getting possessive to spite me!

Honestly, neither of us are in a place to fully handle the type of committed relationship that we idealize, so the comedy of this is he said no/maybe and then came back next day and said yes/maybe ... to which I gave him a no/later. Did I mention this guy is a Gemini Sun, Moon, Merc, Venus and Saturn all of which sit on/between my Gemini Venus, Mars, Descendent? LOL, talk about two emotional ritards. Now I'm dating like 5 guys and keeping him on my radar should he come around for the "not now, but soon" chapter.
