New member! I've been lurking on and off for some time, but I decided register today :-)

This is a kind of a "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!" post

I'm a 22 year old Leo female and this may sound odd, but I've never once had a romantic relationship with a significant other in my entire life. I've put it off (or made excuses for, give or take) because of school and work, but recently I've come to know a Virgo man, and he lights a certain kind of fire in me that I've not felt with anyone else. If anyone is curious, he is born 9/13/1989; no birth time though.

I've tried many time to get one going, but for some reason it always falls short right at a critical point, like a balloon that pops because you miscalculated how much air it needed. For years I've had a huge problem with trying to find a guy (casual, serious, it didn't matter), but I just couldn't make it over that last hurdle and get it going. I like to believe that I'm okay with being attached to another, but I think I'm just fooling myself because if someone get too close... well, either it flies right over my head or I freak out and start feeling like I'm getting trapped. I also have some issues with having conversations with my target beyond shared interests...

So I have a few burning questions:

1. Is it because Venus is being drowned in the Virgo conundrum? I'd like to find a partner, but I'm also okay with staying single until the time is right. Sometimes I just don't care about

2. If someone does happen make the first move, I am the one to say "Whoa, whoa, hold on..." and back away. But why?

Hi teDAREka!  Welcome to the boards!

I'm very novice at reading charts, but one thing that jumped out at me is your Sag Moon in the 12th house.  Sag is ruled by Jupiter, so craves space and freedom, which might explain why you bolt just before the last hurdle.  The fact that it's in the 12th could explain why you don't understand quite how you feel about that.

Also, Chiron in the 7th house may indicate that you've some sort of deep wound concerning partnerships that could be influencing you're 'freaking out'.... sort of like someone poking at a soar- you pull away, right?

Well as far as Chiron goes, I have a fear of being rejected. It's happened to me when I actually took the plunge and initiated (a big step for a shy person like me), but got turned down in such a way that it left an emotional scar.

FWIW, I didn't have (or want) a significant relationship until I was 18, so 22 seems pretty normal to me.  :)

One thing I'm seeing is that honkin' bunch of Virgo, including Mars and Venus.  I haven't pulled up your interest's chart, but from the emphemeris his sun-Mars would be fairly tight on your Venus (and sun, using classical orbs, would be covering/conjunct your entire Virgo stellium).  That's some pretty powerful ju-ju, my friend.  *grins*  His moon in Aqua would be within orb to conjunct your N. node as well, no matter what time of day he was born -- that's another decent hit on the zing-meter!  It's really no wonder, astro-wise, that this guy would trip your trigger.

As to why you shy away / can't make it over the last jump, I'd point my finger at your Uranus/Jupiter/Venus t-square.  I can't really find the words to explain it concisely right now, but that aspect pattern is shining out at me: love (Venus), eccentricity (Uranus), and expansion (Jupiter) all tied together?  Yeah... that's significant.  :)  Not to mention that the opposition (Jupiter to Uranus) plays out across your Asc-Dsc axis.

Hopefully someone can come along and tie those threads together better.  :)
