Your Job

I'm not really a business man so do not own my own company, I work for a boss. All my previous jobs I had access to everyone from the president to the entry level folks. Currently I work for Homeland Security and it's about rank, simmilar but unlike the military, and very little access to anyone, no human resources or union {waiting on the union should have by the end of the year} Would love to go back to a regular job closer to home where my skills are valued and I can have the opportunity to improve.
Scorpio Sun, doesn't like to be ignored, or disrepected, also if there's no future then time to look for something else, and finally no loyalty to the workers so ...
Aquarius Rising, one of a kind, not a uniform like everyone else robot
Aries Moon, Impatience of incompetance and red tape
Saturn rx in Taurus is having a field day at my expence here
I work for myself. I'm not cut out to have a boss. I like collaborating with people, but I have to be autonomous or I'm miserable. None of my Planets are the kind that take well to being told what to do...
I do creative stuff mostly, & it's a H U G E battle for me to be diciplined enough to take care of all the paperwork & red tape. H U G E. Sometimes I win, but mostly I don't & even though it's meant big trouble in the past, that's still not enough to keep my ass in gear on this front!
I'd love to have some sort of partnership where someone was happy to take care of all that crap & just let me do my do.
*sigh*
What do you do CocoPeaches? From your Nic & your Avatar I'll take a flying guess & ask if you're a foodie?
Self employed here, now have an office after working from home for about 20 years. Being s/e has it's advantages (ie better pay and flexible schedule) but I sometimes miss the regularity and benefits of having a job.
Taurs sun conj mars, Venus in Aries in the second, I guess? I also have Saturn in the second, it's in Pisces and far enough away from Venus not to be conjunct.
I have read that Saturn in the second can lead to money shortages but I have not found this to be true as a rule. I think instead it means that you can work hard for money and it will definitely come. My impression is that Saturn is sort of a guarantee of whatever house it's in.... as long as you persevere/work for what that house represents. what do you all think of this?
Saturn in 10th: working for stable, boring jobs in a large organization because I want the stability.
I don't know what my job will be, but I'm on a path right now, in school. Both my parents and sibling have their own businesses. I am pretty sure I will want a boss, but I'm not totally sure.
@McKenna, I don't think I will ever find myself working in the food industry. Food is too delicious to mix with business!
Saturn in Sadge in the 6th. conjunct Uranus, opposite Mars and Chiron, trine Jupiter and Venus. I want routine, and I want my work to be separate from my personal life, but it seems like it will inevitably be all mushed together. :-/ Really, I can't wait to make my own family and be a mom, if I'm lucky enough to get that.
Venus, Jupiter, NN, and MC all up at top of my chart in Aries, so my 10th house has seen a ton of action lately.
As a Mom, that's my cancer sun all the way.
As part of the self-employed, that's all my cardinal and merc/mars in the 1st.
As for having both, well I could put that down as my sun/moon opposition, having both ends of the spectrum, :o)
Angie
i work for a boss.. but i have my scorp sun in the 10th conjunct mercury, so all the jobs i've had involved a boss explaining the process and letting me have at it.
i work for someone else, but i need to do the work independently... that way i can be quick and efficient, get it done the way i want it done and move on to anything other than working. cap rising, saturn conjunct venus in the 9th.
i have also done a lot of freelance work, which i guess means i've been my own boss as well.. though it's never felt like it. there is always a client who fills the "boss" roll. the worst about that bit is when it comes naming a price. i never know what to charge, and then afterward, always worry i charged too much.. (or not enough). i'd much rather manage myself and have someone else handle the finances (there isn't anything in my aqua2nd house or my gem6th). don't understand money and i'm no businessman.
now, ask me what my career is..? LIFE
that's a 10th house scorpio sun answer for you. ;)

How do you associate with business? Do you have your own company or do you work for a boss...? Is this because of the nature of your work or is it because of your preference?
How is it expressed in astrology?
