Hi Annalisa!!!
I am one of the skippers... & yes, I know that is BAD, but food first thing makes me feel ill. I have two cups of tea & then get stuck into the coffee.
I eat my first meal at what others call lunch time ![]()
It's late here now though... & your pastry breakfast is making me feel hungry!
crunchy peanut butter on rye toast.. or a breakfast sandwich.... sometimes whole grain cereal with almond milk.
then, there are the days when i eat nothing at all.... i just go, not thinking about food. and i keep going... i don't even realize i'm hungry until the spins set in.
I have dinner for breakfast, and a light meal around 2pm thats it for me, got to maintain my trim self..........................
Coffee and a Cig while I read the blog.. then I tend to forget food until I get the shakes at like 2... used to not get shakes till after 3.. Im getting old and my body is getting pissed.
if i take my vitamins first thing in he morning on an empty stomach it makes me nauseous. so i carry the wholle mix with me and pop them when i eat later in the day.. which is usually while i'm driving (lunch break) between locations.
I have two cups of tea first thing, weak with very little sugar. I don't usually eat til mid-morning - and then I don't eat lunch. If I had a biggish meal later than usual the previous night, I don't eat at all til lunchtime. When I was younger (20s) I had nothing, usually, all morning - very bad! - and sometimes nothing all day :0 ..... but when we were farming (my 30s) I"d have a couple of slices of homemade wholemeal, toasted, with my own home-made jam or marmalade, then cook a proper lunch (eggs usually, we had so many) as my ex needed the fuel - he was up around 6am..
Typically, I have brunch c10.30-11.30 which is either scrambled eggs on toasted wholemeal, or grilled cheddar cheese and sliced tomato or smoked streaky bacon, on toasted wholemeal - sometimes mushroms in a creamy sauce - something like that, almost always savory. Very rarely I'll have muesli if I've run out of bread; or in winter and it's very cold, I'll have porridge with maple or golden syrup. I don't much enjoy cold food, at any time of year!
If I'm very hungry early due not eating the night before, I'll have toast and marmalade first thing, then eat at lunchtime. It's a flexible feast. I'll have coffee with my brunch, and a top-up cup quite a few times through the day - Id never get out of the sofa without my coffee!
Two or three cups of coffee. Then I run out and forget to eat, so I usually buy...a candy bar.
Is it any wonder my perimenopausal ass is so cranky and tired??

I'm having Better Oats blueberry oatmeal this morning. I also have Greek yogurt in the fridge.
Greek yogurt is so delicious and filling (I mix honey in), but trying to find one that isn't fat free is an exercise in patience. I hate fat free dairy. You only live once. Enjoy the real stuff in moderation.
My most favorite thing is egg & cheese on whole grain toast
. But I can only have eggs once or twice a week or I end up with headaches. So most days I grab a luna bar/protein bar (chocolate coconut is my fav, YUM!)
Angie
Old fashioned oatmeal with fruit, usually blueberries, honey and 2% milk along with a cup of coffee and a small amount of orange juice. Sundays growing up we always had a big breakfast, so I still do this and have eggs and sausage, or an omlette, etc.
Lately it's been tea or coffee with yogurt, an English muffin, and some fruit. On some mornings I'll make an egg along with this.
Mmmmm...Plantains are yummy in the morning. I prefer the opposite...dinner food!!! Then I eat breakfast food in the afternoon ![]()
Before I even get out of bed, I eat a protein bar to get things going. This week it's Luna bars Lemon Zest (soooo yummy, though their protein level is lower than I'd like). Once I'm up, Yerba Maté tea and oatmeal with a banana cut up into it.
Ha ha Dre! Annalisa I love pasteries too but am too cheap to buy out every morning!
I have a smoothie most mornings: plain greek yogurt, a banana, and frozen berries; blueberries, strawberries, sometimes mango if mango is on sale. I water it down, I don't like thick smoothies. I like to drink my breakfast.

I usually eat some sort of pastry in the morning which I started doing while traveling and have done ever since. Carbs and sugar get me going and rev me up for the day while I eat healthy all day long besides in the AM. I know that many skip breakfast but I'd be starving if I didn't eat breakfast.
What is the first thing you eat in the morning? What is your usual breakfast?
